EVERETT, Wash. - A local woman is calling for safety changes at Everett's Comcast Arena.

Debbie Jones says the two to three inch gaps in the arena's retractable bleachers caused her to be seriously injured six years ago when her foot got stuck. Jones fell and suffered a brain injury.

A lawsuit was settled for $60,000 following the injury, but Jones says that's not good enough.

"I wanted the facility fixed so it didn't happen to anyone else," Jones said. "I didn't want the horror that happened to my family to happen to anyone else."

The State building code office reports that two to three inch gaps in the bleachers are out of compliance, and do not meet State rules.

Comcast Arena officials told KOMO Problem Solvers they're reviewing the matter.
