Woman found dead, husband injured in S. Seattle apartment
SEATTLE -- Police have launched an investigation into the death of a woman found inside a South Seattle apartment Friday.
Police responded to a call from the Station at Othello Park Apartments just before 2 p.m.
They arrived at the location in the 4200 block of S. Othello St. to find the 50-year-old woman dead and her husband suffering from unspecified injuries.
The man told police his wife had assaulted him the night before. He said he woke up to find his wife dead.
It was not the woman's husband who called police but rather the couple's neighbor.
Police said they do not believe the woman's death is a homicide case. They did not elaborate.
The woman's name has not been released, and her cause of death has not been determined.

Wow where does Komo get their information? This woman died from natural causes, and the neighbors did not call the police, the husband went to the office and they called the police.Â
@StationNeighbor Let me quess the answer to your question: Seattle Times, KING 5, KIRO 7, Q13, Sean Witcomb, and Dan Troyer, not necessarily in that order.
@StationNeighbor Yet another shining example of KOMO reporters investigative reporting. Rush to get the headline and worry about silly little details and facts later...
@StationNeighbor And where do you get your information?Â
@lakeview It was only Komo and the other news organizations telling people coming into the building that it was a murder, causing panic throughout the building. The police even said they didn't think it was anything other than natural causes.
@StationNeighbor  Thanks.Â
@lakeview I live in the unit next door.
This one seems very interesting, I would like updates.
quite the mystery. hope they can figure it out.
She kicked my butt and when I woke up....she was dead. Derp!
@bagsofdirt The update is saying that investigators do not believe it is a homicide which leads me to believe she either OD'd or committed suicide.
@stamperzann @bagsofdirt Maybe she got too worked up & died of a heart attack.

Quit speculating and let this poor woman rest in peace.Â
