SHORELINE, Wash. -- Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in a Thursday night car crash in Shoreline that killed a woman in her 60s.

The woman was trying to cross NW Richmond Road at 7:30 p.m. when she was hit by by a car, according to Cindi West with the King County Sheriff's Office.

West said the woman was wearing dark clothing and was not using the crosswalk when she was hit.

The driver stopped at the scene and has cooperated with investigators. West said the driver was not intoxicated and was not speeding.
