Woman pleads guilty to fatal Kirkland DUI crash
KIRKLAND, Wash. -- A 42-year-old woman who prosecutors say was drunk when she caused a crash that left one person dead and sent three more to the hospital 14 months ago has pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide and vehicular assault.

Kelly Ann Hudson was also under the influence of prescription medicines when she crossed the drifted into the wrong lane of traffic on Juanita Drive and slammed her minivan into a car carrying four people, killing 81-year-old passenger Joyce Parsons.

Investigators say a witness behind Hudson's car was on the phone with 911 dispatchers reporting a "possible drunk driver" in the moments prior to the crash, and the witness was still on the line when the crash occurred.

Prosecutors will be asking the judge that Hudson serve at least 10 years in prison when she is sentenced on Nov. 22.
