Woman reportedly robbed at gunpoint by group of teens
SEATTLE -- A woman in her 50s was robbed at gunpoint by four teenagers Monday morning in Beacon Hill, according to the Seattle Police Department.
According to police, the woman was walking near South Columbian Way and 24th Place South around 10:45 a.m. when she was approached by four men who appeared to be between 14 and 17 years old.
One of the teens pointed a handgun at the woman while another grabbed her purse, according to police.
The teens ran off in different directions, and officers were unable to find them.
Seattle have intersection camera's all along 23rd. Â If these camera's can photograph drivers and car license numbers, it should be able to ID the teens walking around with a woman's stolen purse. Â Please use the camera's to help the community rather than extort funds for minor driving offenses. Â
There are not that many Jr. High Schools and High Schools on Beacon Hill. Â How difficult is it to go to those schools to attempt to ID the student. Â They are on foot and not driving. Â That means they are from that neighborhood. Â Alternatively, check the buses, they have cameras to capture disturbances, Â did the buses record 4 teens 14 yrs to 17 yrs of age boarding in that area?Â

@Zoso The SPD website says late teens to early 20s. Not sure where the article's author got his age range.
But remember what our democrat Dear Leaders tell us. If we just make a few more gun laws we will be safe from this. After all there were only four or five gun law violations in this case. Â
And when they catch these creeps all the gun charges will be dropped.Â
These "men" aren't men - they're coward babies with guns, and apparently truant to boot.

Parents not doing their job. We need a solid law that will make parents responsible for their kids actions. When parents start going to jail I'd bet a lot of these punks would meet some discipline and supervision.
I agree with you 100%. The parents are the ones that spawned these little monsters. As far as I'm concerned they should be held accountable as well.

 According to the SPD: The suspects are described as black males in their late teens to early 20â²s, three of which wore all black and one who wore black pants and a black and white checkered top. The suspect with the black and white checkered top brandished the handgun.
Nice try, but this was another trademark KOMO whitewash. This information was available before ol' Michael set his printing press in motion. Wasn't it Michael?

I'm sure these teens didn't pass the universal background check when they purchased their firearm. Â In response I think we should steal all guns from lawful citizens because these criminals didn't follow the rules! Â
Perhaps if we held another gun buyback these poor youths would see the error of their ways and sell their pistol to the SPD.
@NWFreeman I'm sure the lady would have passed the check, and if she was armed like how you pro-gun folks want it to be, it would have been in her purse and now in the hands of the teens. Perhaps if there was another gun buy back, more irresponsible legal gun owners can get their guns off the streets and these teens can't steal them?

For your information, trained women don't carry in their purses, they were open or concealed carry holsters just like men.Â

Anyone who uses a firearm for violent crime doesn't deserve to live. The sooner society figures this out and starts taking action to defend themselves, the safer the rest of us will be. Pure attrition.Â

@lakeview I, for one, fail to see how a detailed description of teenagers that just committed a crime and might be spotted by the public at large is helpful. A detailed description should only be allowed to the masses under certain secret conditions. If we say someone of a certain ethnicity is wearing a bright yellow, green and red Bob Marley hat with red striped pants, a paisley shirt, a gold grill and  purple and gold Nike Air Stupid Hightops is loose, it is well known that the public at-large will assume ALL of that ethnicity are criminals. Don't you know what this country was founded upon?
@Getov Mylon @lakeview Well KOMO would only put out a detailed description if they were white. Seeing as they were black, KOMO wouldn't want to look racist. Incidents like this remind me of why I carry a gun. There's no guarantee when one of these punks points a gun at you, that you'll live to see tomorrow. I'd rather be at least as well armed as them.
