Woman robs Everett espresso stand at knife-point for second time

EVERETT, Wash. -- Police are searching for a woman who robbed an espresso stand at knife-point Monday evening, and investigators say she's robbed the place before.
The latest robbery of the Stiletti Coffee espresso stand in South Everett happened around 6:30 p.m., said Shari Ireton with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Department. A woman with a large knife approached the stand in the 500 block of 128th Ave. SW and handed the barista a note.
After getting money, the woman left in a red pickup truck with no canopy. She was described as white, in her 20s with blond face piercings and a black hoodie.
No one was hurt.
Ireton says that same espresso stand was robbed on Nov. 17 at 4:20 p.m. A woman with a similar description but this time wearing a blue plaid hoodie and sunglasses robbed the barista with a knife. And again, the suspect left in a red pickup with no canopy.
In between those two robberies, the Bigfoot Java espresso stand on SW Everett Mall Way was robbed last Tuesday by a woman who also flashed a knife and left in a red pickup.
Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call the Snohomish County Sheriff's Department.

I know they're trained to give up the money regardless, but a woman with a knife? Ummm.. you slam the window closed, and your door should always be locked, and you call 911. Â Leave the meth head out in the cold.Â
 @DT inside job perhaps?
I'm sick and tired of criminals and thieves. The only good one is a dead one!Â
The description alone should narrow down the search to ooohhhhhh....a couple hundred thousand people. Those "blond face piercings" COULD quite possibly be the clue to blowing this case wide open, because if we had to go by "red pickup trucks, and black hoodies" you might as well just arrest every person at an "Insane Clown Posse" concert.
 @Wolfen with a red pickup and no canopy. you have to put all of the details together
A woman with a knife is only marginally frightening, but a big man with a gun and an ulterior motive is what I'd be concerned about. Either way, it would be justified for a barista to protect herself with a firearm. @LawnBoy it is easy to break a window and normally owners say not to upset the robber but just cooperate. Easy for them to say
I can't beleive they can't just close the window, lock the door and put up a cell phone and call 911...I'm sure if that happens a few times she might stop making such easy robberies...one camera could stop this as well...heck they sell them so cheaply now..guess owners don't care
The robber had "blond face piercing"???
 @johnbe nice!
Sheesh, definitely sounds like a serial robber with a vendetta against delicious, delicious  espresso. :(
Â
Why do you hate espresso stands, robber? WHY DO YOU HATE AMERICA?
Not one barista thought to look at the license plate. Cripes.
 @TacoBat1niner they're baristas, not brain surgeons.Â
Hopefully some have video cameras up that might get some more information, but if not, might be a good idea so we can lock these people up!
I think every single barista should be wearing a sidearm.
 @TreeTopFlyer My daughter does and she is not afraid to use it. Her and her husband practice frequently. A little over a year ago, one of the stands she works at was robbed. She was suppose to be working however had an appointment so another barista filled in for her. Thankfully no one was hurt and the thief was caught within weeks if I remember correctly. My daughter started to carry mace and once she turned 21 she obtained a concealed carry permit.
 @Robinsnest  @TreeTopFlyer ah washington state... where every person thinks they're Wyatt Earp.  Never occurs to anyone here that the reason WHY we have so many gun crimes is that so many people have guns.  But don't let the actual statistics about countries that limit guns, and their gun deaths and injuries and overall crime being a nano-fraction of ours.  Your daughter might want to look into what happened with the barista  that carried a gun and killed someone trying to rob the place.  Oh, I think he eventually was cleared, but he ended up in therapy, going through the court system, etc.  And there was no proof the guy was going to shoot him.  But yeah... your daughter is such a groovy seattle badass with her gun.Â
guns kill people, pencils misspell words, and spoons make people fat. thanks for opening my eyes!
 @DT  @Robinsnest  @TreeTopFlyer Wow, if you think this is Tombstone I would hate to see what you'd think about Dallas!Â
 @DT You need to really check your facts instead of regurgitating the drivel that comes out of the anti-gun crowd. Check out violent crime rates in England after they banned possession of handguns. It went UP, not down. Violent Crime rates in America have gone down considerably since the 90's and guess what? That's with MORE gun owners. Look at Chicago. They have some of the toughest gun laws in the country and the highest amount of crimes committed with firearms. Why is that?
 @DT You might want to actually look at crime stats in countries with strict gun laws (try Great Britain, for instance) and you will see that crime has skyrocketed since guns were confiscated. You would do well to actually have facts to back up your words. We are not a country rampant with crime when compared to other countries, quite the opposite is true, if you'd have taken the time to actually look before you talked. But then you don't get it, law abiding citizens who carry guns don't commit crimes. That's why they are called "law abiding." Criminals very rarely get guns lawfully, that's why they are called "criminals."
I have owned guns for several decades now and not once has any of my guns commited a crime, either by themselves or when they were on my person. And there is no indication that they are threatening to anytime soon.
The bumper sticker is so true, Outlaw guns and only outlaws will have guns. Great Britain can attest to that truth.
 @DT  @Robinsnest  @TreeTopFlyer Less gun crime here than in Chicago where they are banned. Less crime in AZ where it is legal to carry without even a permit (as the Constitution intended) than Chicago. Or DC. Or any of the places where carrying a firearm for self defense is banned. You just hear about every single instance now on the news so it seems like there is more gun crime. But don't let the facts get in the way of your hoplophobia.
 @TreeTopFlyer LOL, rather be judged by 12, than carried by 6.........I like it. Enjoy your group therapy :)
@DT...Is it safe for me to assume that you are NOT a gun owner? Are you even an AMERICAN? As law-abiding citizens, we not only have a RIGHT to own a firearm, but it is our 2nd Ammendment RESPONSIBILITY to own one and to protect ourselves from not only the tyranny of our government, but from the individual zombies that want to harm us and/or our loved ones. I'd rather be judged by 12, than carried by 6. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! In the meantime, I'm headed back to the range today for my "group therapy" session.
 @TreeTopFlyer Yeah that would look cute. A bikini and a .45 on the hip. Or maybe at least pepper spray.
Why can we just put an end to this kinda crap?
When hoodies are outlawed only outlaws will wear hoodies... oh wait, they already do.
I live 2 blocks from here, lovely. Â Everett, puget sound, washington.... you need to check yourself in and get some help, as things are going downhill, quickly.
Was this one of those "bikini" Barista places? The name kinda made me think of it...... not that I think they should be robbed.......... just curious......
 @Susabelle Stilettis i think yes. Bigfoot is a definite no.
When the red pickup with no canopy pulled away from the window, it would seem that an employee looking out the window could see at least part of the license plate, but what do I know. Â At least we can assume that those espresso stands had enough money to keep her red pickup with no canopy in gas. Â
Come on, KOMO, can't you at least copy-paste accurately?Â
Â
Meanwhile, we need to catch this idiot before she falls in love with her own legend and takes the violence up a level.Â
Â
Hey, Funky-Munky, if you're lurking out there, we miss you! All this sloppy non-editing and increasingly stupid criminals, all very much in need of your snarking perspective. Hope all is well in your world. :^D
 @MargeGunderson I could come up with a witty remark......but I wouldnt want to encourage her....Â
 @Susabelle I really don't understand why they come up with these cutsie, innocuous-sounding, bandit-themed nicknames for these POS. All it serves to do is reward the losers and encourage the copycats.
Â
How about some less flattering titles, such as The Tiny Penis Bandit, or the Dumb As A Sack of Hammers Bandit? Or the Kick Me In My Package As Hard As You Possibly Can Bandit?Â
I was asking myself the same question!! LOL!!
 @My-celiums Well that doesnt help me!!! I know I'm getting old.....but am I THAT behind the times??? LOL
 @Susabelle And here I am, thinking I was so hip! Ya just can't keep up with all these crazy fads!! LOL!!
What the heck are blond face piercings?
