Woman stabbed in chest aboard bus in downtown Seattle
SEATTLE -- What began as an argument between two women ended with one woman being stabbed in the chest on Tuesday.

The incident occurred near Third and Pike in downtown Seattle at approximately 3 p.m.

Seattle police said two women got into an argument on a Metro bus, and the fight escalated until one woman stabbed the other in the chest.

A police officer who happened to be nearby responded to the scene almost immediately.

The 48-year-old stabbing victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.

The suspected attacker was to be booked into jail for investigation of assault.

No other details about the inicident were immediately known, and the investigation is ongoing.
