Woman successfully fights off two robbers in White Center
SEATTLE -- A woman who didn't "have time for this [expletive]" successfully fought off two would-be robbers early last Wednesday in White Center, according to the Seattle Police Department.
The woman was walking along 15th Avenue Southwest near Southwest Roxbury Street around 6:40 a.m.
Two men walking toward her having a loud conversation got quiet when they spotted the woman, giving her an uneasy feeling.
According to the police report for the incident, the woman crossed the street to get away from them, passing one of the men, but the other man crossed the street at an angle to cut her off.
The woman told the man, "I don't have time for this [expletive]. Leave me alone."
She tried to get around him, but the man, laughing, stepped in her way, according to the report.
He wouldn't be laughing in a few minutes.
According to the report, the man opened the large, golf-style umbrella he was carrying, distracting the woman, and grabbed the strap of her bag, saying, "Give me" and "Come here."
As the man pulled her toward the sidewalk and nearby bushes, the woman noticed the man she had passed, who was wearing an Elmer-Fudd-style hat, was now behind her, according to the report.
She grabbed onto the jacket of the man holding onto her bag and pushed him back, causing him to lose balance.
She then stomped on the man's foot and punched him in the face with an open palm. The man uttered an "Oh" and let go of her bag, according to the report.
The woman ran to a bus stop nearby and got on the bus.
She later told officers she wasn't sure if she would be able to recognize the men if she saw them again. But, she is afraid they will recognize her and try to retaliate.
Oh HELLLLL NO! I ain't got time for this s#%t! Good for her!! She must be from Oakland too...spent most my life duckin' and dodgin' crap like this! You learn that being a victim is not an option and you keep that in your mind.
The take-away on this is: She refused to be a victim.
The racial makeup of the CDP was 35.0% White, 21.0% Black or African American, 1.6% American Indian and Alaska Native, 22.9% Asian, 1.7% Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander, 11.4% from other races, and 6.4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 21.5% of the population.

@Jimmy James ...Or they'll be watching out for her again as she told police. I'd have a bad feeling about being attacked again by the same people too in this type of situation. The perps may feel like they need to "get even" at this point.

So this poor woman probably works and/or lives nearby or has to commute there regularly and these creeps will probably be looking for her and their drugged-out minds will want revenge and what might have been a mugging now will probably lead to attempted rape and maybe even murder for this getting into the news.

If she had been armed she could have solved this thug problem permanently and I guarantee she'd sleep soundly at night and not have to look over her shoulder every time she walks there now.Â

 @BH Herring  I am a woman and, if I were attacked such as this, I would've pulled out my gun and shot them. If it comes down to me or them, it's going to be them everytime, if possible. She's lucky they gave up so quickly. Most women aren't so lucky! Would you want your wife/mom/daughter put in that situation and not be able to protect themselves? Would you discourage your own female family members from shooting someone who was attacking them because it's too violent?

 @mstipton I know a woman who is a third degree black belt (mid 20's), who was attacked coming out of a martial arts supply store. The guy had a knife on her and she ended up hurting the guy pretty good, with only a slight cut on her finger from his knife.Â
