ABC to get first TV interview with Palin
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin By Associated Press
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - It looks like ABC will be getting the first TV interview with Sarah Palin since she was chosen as John McCain's running mate.
An adviser says an interview has been offered to Charles Gibson, and that it's expected to take place later in the week in Alaska. Palin is expected to return to her home state at midweek after some more joint appearances with McCain. McCain's campaign manager had said earlier today that Palin would be made available for interviews "when we think it's time and when she feels comfortable doing it." He told Fox News that she's "not scared to answer questions." But he said, "We'll do things on our timetable." Palin won over GOP loyalists with her convention speech. But Democrats and even some Republicans have questioned whether she's ready to answer unscripted questions about national and international issues. Her Democratic counterpart, Joe Biden, told NBC today, "Eventually she's going to have to answer questions and not be sequestered." |
