Cop pleads not guilty in plot to abduct and eat women
NEW YORK (AP) - A New York City police officer has pleaded not guilty to charges he plotted to abduct and cook women so he could eat their body parts.
Gilberto Valle entered the plea Monday in federal court in Manhattan.
Authorities arrested the 28-year-old NYPD officer last month based on a tip from his estranged wife.
The FBI says it uncovered emails from Valle to an unidentified co-conspirator "discussing plans to kidnap, rape, torture, kill, cook and eat body parts of a number of women."
No women were actually harmed, and Valle's lawyer claims he was never a threat. She says the alleged plot was pure fantasy.
The jailed Valle is due back in court Tuesday for a bail hearing.

I think his wife just misunderstood what he was really saying. Most women would jump at the opportunity.

If he is guilty and gets the death penalty, I wonder what his last meal request will be.... his lawyer maybe?

Do they not have Burger King somewhere out there? Or maybe he misunderstood Eating at the "Y" meant the whole thing.
I wonder if this is real or if the estranged wife who reported this is making this up.  This is not the kind of info people usually share with others voluntarily. Emails can be faked, especially if she had his password. I'm not saying he's innocent, but just based on the info given, I have a lot more questions.
Emails can be faked, but it does sound as if the lawyer isn't denying it. Even if it were pure fantasy, if it's true, this guy is a real sicko.
