Libya: American consolate worker shot dead, another wounded
TRIPOLI, Libya (AP) - A Libyan security official says one American consulate employee has been shot dead and another wounded in the hand during an attack at the U.S. consulate in the eastern city of Bengazi.
Wanis al-Sharef, an interior ministry official in Bengazi, said the two were shot at the consulate during an attack by armed men who stormed the building. He provided no further details.
The angry protest at the consulate Tuesday was sparked by outrage over a U.S. produced film attacking Islam's prophet Muhammed.
Witnesses said the armed men set fire to the consulate and fired shots into the air, burning much of the build.

Anyone that would rito and murder over something this pathetic is the bottom of the human dung-heap. Their prophet is rolling over in his grave.
Ah the religion of peace. Also fails to mention they killed the Ambassidor Stevens and 3 are dead. and Brutto Brutto I have seen muslims "behead" Reagan, uncle sam and burn the flag. We do not storm a consulate. I cannnot belive you would try and justify any of this action. I f you are from here you should leave if not from you need to leave and jion your brotherhood or as we call them here gangs.
America is not safe under Obama!!
Â
Fortunately we have an ever vigilant military - all O does is take credit...
How about you guys go and read what happened instead of immediately blaming Obama. The US state department did not issue an apology, and condemned both the attack and the cause, which was a movie made by anti-Muslim evangelists portraying Mohammad in an extremely distasteful way. Not to mention the condemnation by a majority of both Egyptian and Libyan officials and citizens. The blame rests on the perpetrators and on the shoulders of Rev. Terry Jones.
@IlBrutto13 I blame whoever removed the added security needed there.
@skulls98040  @IlBrutto13 What, a battalion of tanks and troops? Did you see how many people where involved? The situation was peaceful for us in Egypt up until the "Rev" Jerry Jones did the equivalent to beheading Reagan on live television.
@IlBrutto13 Uhh yes the State Department did issue an apology & stop being an apologist for what these Islamists did. For supposedly being a "religion of peace" they are always rioting and killing those that aren't Islamic. Now that the Muslim Brotherhood is in control in Egypt you are starting to see Egyptian Christians being cruxcified in Egypt

@Gaikokujin  @IlBrutto13 That was not an apology in the way you see it. The US Embassy is the mouth to the people of that country. Would you rather try to calm the situation down respectfully? Or incite further violence by provoking them? Thats what diplomacy is. Forcing yourself upon other nations will only reduce diplomatic ties. This is a global world, and those ties are important. Angering the Egyptians would hurt their relationship with Israel, and hurt trade by blocking or limiting the use of the Suez Canal. The situation with them is already iffy thanks to the religious bigots constantly insulting and provoking the Muslim Brotherhood. The best course of action is soft. Learn a little about diplomacy.
Â
Nice try with the crucifixion thing by the way, that isn't reported in any major media outlet, nor Al Jazeera or any reliable overseas outlet. Its only circulating on right wing and conspiracy "news" websites.
@Gaikokujin Steady my friend you wont get far if you pass a clot. People want to believe what people want to belive. I've given up trying to help them make sense of it all.Â
@IlBrutto13 "isn't reported in any major media outlet, nor Al Jazeera or any reliable overseas outlet."
Â
Al Jazeera ? Please they are part of the mouth piece of disinformation. Algemeiner is no right wing site nor any conspiracy site. I posted just a few of the sites that carried the news. As to the MSM, if you are truly looking to the MSM for information as to what is truly happening in the world you aren't going to get it from them. This "situation" has nothing to do with any religious bigots as you put it, the Muslim Brotherhood was created in 1928 for the sole purpose of bringing back the Islamic Caliphate. Acting soft is stupid, these people do not respect "soft", to them that is weakness and will only further embolden them
That is all to the story? How about Egypt? How about are state dept issuing and apology? How about are President turning his back to Isearl> Obama needs to go before we are part of this wonderful Arab Spring
Another Obama foreign policy success story! Wait a minute? I thought we were helping freedom fighters overthrow a tyranical regime and establish freedom and democracy? At least that's what Obama, Hillary Clinton, Democrats, and the mainstream media told us. I'm confused. Â
