Obama camp picks at possible Romney VP choices

CINCINNATI (AP) - President Barack Obama and his Democratic allies aren't waiting for Republican Mitt Romney to reveal his vice presidential choice. They're already trying to scuff up those considered by political insiders to be most likely to join the GOP ticket.
The president's campaign started swinging at the potential Republican running mates this week while urging home-state Democrats to chime in about the shortcomings that - as emails to donors and supporters put it - "Americans need to know." The pre-emptive strikes are an effort to define a possible No. 2 in a negative light and reflect a sense that time is precious to sway opinion in a stubbornly close presidential race dashing quickly toward November.
Tim Pawlenty? The former Minnesota governor is a fee-raiser whose record "is painful for the middle-class families who lived under his leadership," the Obama campaign argues.
Rob Portman? The Ohio senator is "one of the architects of the top-down Bush budget" that the Obama team blames for "crashing our economy."
Marco Rubio? The rookie Florida senator has "led the way on almost every extreme position Mitt Romney has embraced," according to the missive that seeks examples of "the good, the bad and ugly" of Rubio.
Chris Christie? There's "no lack of material to work with" about the pugnacious New Jersey governor.
Those views are far from how Republicans regard the foursome. As many in the GOP see it, Pawlenty is extolled for his blue-collar appeal and budget restraints during eight years as governor; Portman is praised for a vast portfolio of experience and as someone who could help deliver a critical swing state; Rubio is a rising star who could help the GOP attract Hispanic voters; and Christie is willing to take on entrenched interests and big problems no matter whom he offends.
Romney's campaign criticized Obama for seeking the critiques. They are little more than "negative smear campaigns against the possible GOP vice presidential nominees," Ohio-based spokesman Chris Maloney said.
It's not just the Obama operation that's trying to tar the Republicans. Local Democratic officials in contested states aren't letting visits by the would-be vice presidents go unchecked. In conference calls, they try to draw attention to what they say are the Republicans' flaws, then quickly deliver biting assessments when one of them campaigns in a battleground state. Independent groups sympathetic to Obama are piling on as well.
American Bridge 21st Century, a Washington-based super PAC, has already dumped a combined 1,651 unflattering pages of so-called opposition research on Pawlenty, Portman and Rubio as well as Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan. The five electronic briefing books, including two released Wednesday, rake over the Republicans' voting records, proposals, public statements and slipups. The rundowns are so detailed that a politician's taste for expensive wine is even noted in one of the books.
American Bridge President Rodell Mollineau said the group started months ago compiling the information - much of it's drawn from media reports, public records and speeches - and decided against waiting until the vice presidential pick becomes known to trickle out the juiciest bits.
"You don't want to start too soon, but you don't want to be in a situation where there's 80 days until the election and everything is being jammed in so much that things are being lost," Mollineau said.
The findings are likely to buttress criticism from top Democrats, feed into TV ads and show up as part of fall campaign mailings. The group also has video trackers in key areas eager to capture possible miscues or shifting positions.
The Obama campaign dispatches haven't gone unnoticed on the right.
Natalie Baur, a confidante of Portman, went so far as to issue a rebuttal to fellow supporters defending Portman as a problem-solver. The message called the Obama push for feedback on him a "desperate" move and a sign that "the president's friends are more interested in playing political games than working together to create jobs, fix the economy and pass a budget."
Romney has said little about whom he favors or when the choice will come, although it's expected well before the Aug. 27 start of the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla.
So far, Vice President Joe Biden has had the No. 2 space all to himself, which has given the Obama campaign a second high-level voice to tour the country, raise money and hammer their opposition. Obama's aides deny he has a preference, but admit they're watching closely for Romney's decision.
"Any way you cut it, whomever they pick, we'd much rather have Vice President Biden on our side, campaigning across the country, in the debates, out there standing up for the president, than any of the motley crew that Mitt Romney is choosing between," Obama campaign spokesman Jen Psaki said Wednesday.
Ann Romney, the candidate's wife who just returned from watching her horse compete at the Olympic Games in London, added to the suspense Thursday with an email telling backers "I can't wait" to help introduce "the other half of America's Comeback Team."

All this political talk...
Â
I like the t-shirt I saw the other day.
Â
"Apparently I'm supposed to be more angry with what
Mitt Romney does with HIS money
than what Obama does with MINE!"
@HonkeyCat Yeah screw that Obama guy for making payments on the two wars Bush put on our credit card
What payments has he made? He's spent more money in less time.
Â
Bush paid me to serve in those wars, as did Obie.
Â
Oh, I mean you as a taxpayer - who continues to pay my pension now.
Â
Thank you for the employment opportunity.
@takingamericaback Likely because we can only have a president for eight years max...unlike more representatives and senators in DC....not to mention bush screwed things up so bad he was happy to screw things up for the middle class all the way up until he left office... I would not be surprised if during the handshakes of him to obama on the day he took office was... 'lets see you work yoru way out of this problem boy' ... bush was a darn stooge and all he accomplished during his presidency was taking our budget surplus 'first one in a long time...and throwing it to the wind like a drunken sailor... going to war with no means to pay for it... adding to medicare without means to pay for it... outsourcing americas war to private contractors that ripoff america.... I just rolled my eyes at Romneys lady 'coming back from seeing her hourse compete in the olympics...' yeah gimmie that horse and I'll make glue out of it!
@HonkeyCat yes fighting an illegal war because you needed a paycheck  is just like a fire fighter running into a burning building to save a child.
Â
/facepalm
Â
I witheld comment on earlier replies. Not worth arguing with some people who perceive someone's duty to country (or to the community such as law enforcement, fire fighting, water and sewers, highways, etc) for almost 25 years as "throwing it in their face". Some people might be surprised by the things this country averted through recent actions.Â
Â
As for "dealing with it", I've dealt with much worse.
Â
Cheers. Time for bed. Gotta get up in the morning to go to work to continue paying my taxes and contributing to society and our local community.

Nighty night

THIS
There was nothing honest in your comments and the cheap shot about killing little brown people was way over the edge. If you'd ever spent time in a place were the "little brown people" used you for target practice on a daily basis you might understand that.
I'm not sure where you've been the last few years but it's not the "small government" party spending money and lives in the Mideast these days and hasn't been for the last three years.
@ducati if its bush's war why are we still there under obama's administration?
@T H I S  @honkeycat nobody is saying you should bow down to them, just show a little respect thats all. how cares if their there for the money and thats it are you saying cops shouldnt be shown any respect as well? bush did get us involved in two wars ill admitt that all day long, but obama has not done anything to get us out of it so what do you have to say about that? we do educate our kids and there are alot of programs out there to help homless people get on there feet but alot of them dont want to follow the rules to be in those programs, like no drinking and doing drugs.
@Mej47 I am sorry if my honesty offends, but I am a bit tired of being told I have to bow down to soldiers fighting in wars I do not agree with. The fact is, most people in the military are not there becuase of some sense of "patriotic duty" but because they need a job, and hey Uncle Sam is always hiring.Â
Â
And when some guy like @honkeycat wants to throw it in everyones face that he was just there for the check, I am going to stand up and call it out
Â
Offended? Ok, I can deal with that. I am sorry you can not.
Â
I am also tired of the "small government" party telling me that we can not pay for schools and roads but we can pay for wars that are not protecting us.Â
We can not feed our hungry, shelter our poor, and educate our children, but we can buy a new nuclear submarine.
Â
Offended Ok I can deal with that. I am sorry that you can not.
@HonkeyCat So you're saying we shouldn't keep paying the soldiers?
These politicians are really splitting hairs when it comes to being absurd. Run on your own agenda and qualifications and quit trying to make yourself look better by nitpicking others to make them look worse. This isn't about your important selves, it's about running this country for the best of the most.Â
@Jatok Would you include the multitude of posters who rant against Obama, even use perversions of his name in their posts - AND even in their screen names?
An interesting article on "Slashdot.org" covered the topic of the VP running selection the other day; and makes for interesting reading. It noted that four years ago - when "McCain declared his veep choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, her Wiki page saw a flurry of activity, with editors adding details about Palin's approval rating and husband's employment. ... Palin's entry was updated at least 68 times, with at least an additional 54 changes made to her entry over the preceding five days."

Viewing Wiki history could be interesting!
Obama. Romney. Obama. Romney. Biden. ??. Â
Â
Meanwhile, back here on planet Earth.Â
Â
Starvation. Violence. Under-education. Unemployment. And radical talk from ALL sides that will take us to the brink of civil war. And they think Muslim extremists are bad? HA! Just wait until the extremists in THIS country cut loose! The occasional bomb or mass murder will seem like "the good ol' days'.
Â
And every single president, and every congress - has let it happen. There are no exceptions; no one is blameless, or fully to blame. So knock off all the self righteous BS people, if you support these clowns, then you deserve everything that happens to you, and no amount of whining about the "other guys" will stop it.
Â
Meanwhile, the rest of us seemed to have developed this fatalistic sense of humor about all of this - which speaks volumes - thinking that it will fall before it reforms, all because the two party system has turned into a circus of posers and autocrats that can't get anything done that is helpful.
Â
Although, on occasion, the humor slips - and you get a post like this. I will still vote, because it is important, but I'm not on anyone's bandwagon - I vote my mind;  I am owned by no party. As I see the parties themselves as part of the problem with our nation.Â
Could they at least have posted a photo of Mitt Baby that could of appeared more sincere?
Â
Oh wait, I guess not. Go with what you've got.
Â
Obama is dumpster diving now ? How desperate he is to deflect from his pathetic term. Horrible unemployment, doubled food stamp recipients, Fast & Furious. Solyndra,  Security leaks, Van Jones, Anita Dunn, Rezko, Blagojevic, Drones, Wall Street Favoritism, âYOU DIDNâT BUILD THATââ¦helping the Muslim Brotherhood in the ME. flipping of England & the Churchill Bust, flipping off Israel. Teleprompter, weekly golfing, 10 vacations per year. If I had a son, Fluke, looming health care disaster.
Â
This is the most corrupt administration in American history.
@Saving Grace Yeah, what is up with that teleprompter? No other politician uses one! He should write on his hand!
@kennewickman No other has been so dependent on it. Everytime he goes off-prompter, his handlers spend the next month doing damage control like with, "You didn't build that."Â
@therunner A bit deep for Grace...
@therunner Nbc doesnt cut things out? remember the zimmerman shooting the cut alot out of the 911 cal to make him seem more guilty, and they also showed a picture of martin that was taken 5 years ago when he was 12 to make zimmerman seem heartless. or did you forget about that?
@therunner that is not what he said your just trying to twist it, and buy the way who founded the majority of money to build those roads and bridges? oh ya the rich because they pay 70% of all the taxes. so THEY DID BUILD THAT. not the government.Â
@therunner Obama said, "if you own a business, you didn't build that. you had help along the way.  Please explain.
@Saving Grace It's pretty easy to listen to it in context and know what he means, you don't need anyone to tell you. The funniest part is that Fox News claims to show it in context, but cut a big chunk out! That's out of context.
@Mej47 Right. He doesn't have a problem saying what he means at all. When he talks off prompter he is saying exactly what he means. His staff knows this is dangerous, so with the help from the press, they explain to us what he really mean. They also tell us that what he said was twisted, and taken out of context by the right wingers. It works on the cult members, but it's an insult to smart people.
You're supposed to listen to what his handlers say he meant, not what he says.
Ha Ha. Funny stuff.
key word, exploit , the helpless victims, thus the need for unions.
@Saving Grace  @therunner "out of nowhere"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bg8lSyGavc4
@Saving Grace  @therunner ...or Carl Spackler, you mean?
Â
"Cinderella story... prep school grad... rich grandparents...truant... drug felon... about to become... the President of the United States... he tees it up.... OH... it's in the hole."
@therunner That is what his damage control deptartment WANTS you to believe. There is no doubt about it, Obama and Carl Marx share the same beliefs about the bourgeois. Democrat agenda is to pit people against the wealthy and business owners under the claim that they could not get there without exploiting employees.  Â
@Saving Grace He was referring to the infrastructure that helps businesses, not the businesses themselves.
@ducati Obama said it. While off prompter he revealed his true colors. Oops.
@Saving Grace You didn't build that? Seriously?
Personally I would prefer to see Romney choose Paul Ryan of Wisconsin as his running mate. That way, when the Romney/Ryan ticket is thoroughly trounced in November we'll get rid of two nut jobs with one vote. (Ryan and his teabagging budget cant run for the House as well as VP)
The main problem I see in picking Romney's running mate is his (Romney's) need to find someone that will appeal the Republican's ultra-conservative tea party, those that are less conservative that do not associate themselves as Tea Party members and what I'll call the GOP silent majority and that is the Republican moderates and Independents. If it were me picking a VP running mate I'd be more concerned with picking a person that will appeal to the largest group Republican and Independent voters than anything the Democrats may have to say about the choice.
 @left-center ""
In other words, someone who is his complete opposite...
Maybe his problem is that no one of the likeable prospects is answering the phone...
The Democrats shouldn't make too much of Romney's VP pick. People might take a second look at the idiot who's just a heartbeat away from the oval office at present.
@Mej47 Please, underestimate Biden all you want. He can do something that Romney will never be able to do, appear human.Â
@kennewickman @Mej47 I guess you could say Biden appears human with all his flubs, asking a guy in a wheel chair to stand up...but at the end of the day, Americans demand someone, uhhh, who can see and think clearly. Biden is a DC lifer. Â
@kennewickman  If Biden was running against Romney it'd be no contest. At least Obama appears likable to a large segment of our society even if his ideology doesn't.
It'll be interesting if the Dems let Biden debate whoever the Rep VP pick turns out to be. I imagine if they do they'll want a very restricted program to at least try to control Joe's gaffs.
@kennewickman  Yep. A guy who's spent his life making money versus a guy who's spent his life spending other people's money. Interesting concept.
@Mej47 That is an interesting thought, Biden vs. Romney. That is worth cogitating upon, the robot vs. the loose canon.
Well... obama can't run on his record, so he has to go negative early.Â
 @GeorgeG. Like any politician. ;)
@GeorgeG. Republicans are so trapped in a quagmire of falsehoods that they can't actually even recognize that Obama has actually achieved quite a bit. Obama is running on his record and I would guess he will do quite well compared to the corporate shill running against him. There are tons of lists of his accomplishments out there available for anyone who just might have the intellectual integrity to independently verify what FOX is telling them. Here is one such list, not that you would read it, it just might undermine your premise that Obama is just another unqualified lazy Kenyan. http://pleasecutthecrap.typepad.com/main/what-has-obama-done-since-january-20-2009.html
ya, he bragged about his job creation, but that was quickly debunked as a gross exaggeration.
@kennewickman Zero is so popular that  all the Dems in Congress running for re-election in closely contested districts are begging, BEGGING him to help them in their campaigns.
Â
Â
@Sid Vishess @kennewickman Senator Claire McCaskill D MO running as a moderate.

@kennewickman Hey! I showed what was in YOUR link and how bloody  stewpid it was.

Talk about zombies...
@Sid Vishess Just every now and then, a person can hit the "fool button" and send some fool into a frenzy of meaningless drivel. Doesn't always work, today it did.Â
@kennewickman "Created tax write-offs for purchases of hybrid automobiles, and later he and Democrats morphed that program into one that includes electric cars.   http://bit.ly/glCukV"
Â
That the rest of us have to pay for. Thanks.
@Sid Vishess @kennewickman cash for clunkers.
@kennewickman "Bypassed Republican opposition in Congress and ordered EPA to begin regulating and measuring carbon emissions.   http://bit.ly/froaP5 "
Â
Yes, that pesky Congress! Who needs 'em?
@kennewickman "Opened up process for fast-tracking patent approval for green energy projects.  http://bit.ly/j0KV2U "
Â
I'll translate that for ya. Established drive-up ATM for donors and cronies that wish to fleece the taxpayer.
@kennewickman He Refocused the Federal Government on Education
Â
Not the job of the Federal Government but what the heck, all Presidents make that mistake.
@kennewickman Refused to give Israel the green light to attack Iran over their possible nuclear program, and thus avoid another war that Republicans wanted.  http://bit.ly/xVmSZK "
Â
Much better to wait until Iran gets the nukes! That way, if their is a war  the benefit will be that Tel Aviv and those Joos get obliterated (for moderator eyes only; that was sarcasm)
@kennewickman 5. Changed his mind and publicly expressed support for the right to enter into a same-sex marriage.Â
Â
Wow! He changed his mind when needed political support  and money. Oh, how brave!
@Saving Grace  @Sid  @kennewickman That's when he needed to convince Middle America that he was not some wild-eyed, radical Statist. I don't think he really cares now. In fact, I believe that he doesn't really care if he wins. I think the actual job of being President is WAY over his pay-grade.  He know that once he gets out, that he can make a (lot)-load of money with speechifying and such. Oh, and maybe another Bill Ayres best seller.
@Furd Not possible. The MO for Democrats is to campaign as conservatives and vote like flaming liberals. **no pun intended.
@Furd Hey! You've heard of the Space Needle, right?Just so happens that I own the land underneath it and I'm in a bit of a cash bind. I am willing to let it go for whatever you have in your pocket!Â
Â
Talk about "Gullible's Travels"...
@Sid Vishess Or maybe Mr. Obama actually thought about it and legitimately changed his mind. The timing could be coincidental although appearing to be political.
@Furd  @Saving Grace  @Sid  @kennewickman The "changing your mind" is endemic to the political class. To tout a politically expedient epiphany as an accomplishment is quite another.
@Saving Grace  @Sid  @kennewickman So no one is ever allowed to change their mind?
@Sid Vishess @kennewickman In '08 Obama told Rick Warren on live TV that he defined marriage as 1 man and 1 woman.
@kennewickman "Held the first-ever first online town hall from the White House, and took questions from the public."
Â
I got some questions for him, where can I attend this... "townhall?"
@kennewickman ":Signed an order banning anyone from working in an agency they had lobbied in previous years, and put strict limits on lobbyistsâ access to the White House."
Â
BWAHAHAHA.
 @kennewickman  "Increased infrastructure spending"
Â
Yup....
@kennewickman "He Fostered Greater Transparency and Better Government, After the Excesses of the Bush Years"
Â
Except for documents related to Fast and Furious.
@kennewickman He takes credit for TARP and the stimulus but blames Bush for Big Spending.
@kennewickman  "Through an executive order, he created the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform.  http://bit.ly/hwKhKa "
Â
And then ignored their recommendations.Â
 @left-center  Supersized.
@Sid Vishess Is that sarcasm that I smell?
@left-center Great Society Programs have been in place for almost 50 years.  They inner cities  of America have become Gardens of Paradise as a result. The black family has remained intact and prospered as well.
@Sid Vishess Admirable Sid, and my last point could be mistaken for a racial putdown. "Afraid" may have been the wrong word. A lack of diversity and/or non-inclusive probably would have been a better fit. I do not believe that the Republican Party is purposely racist, it is that their policies tend not to benefit the poorer Americans and the poorer American demographic is largely made up of people of color.
@left-center  @Saving Grace Sorry. Social issues such as fetus-killing are not part of the Tea Party platform. Please try, TRY to understand the difference between Social and Fiscal Conservatives. Yes, many are both but not all.  I have never referred to freeloaders as queens. Perhaps you are mixing up gays and welfare. N
Â
Too bad I have to go to work or I would have to take a shot of Kirkland Signature Vodka (surprisingly smooth) when anyone deals the Race Card.
(kennewickman has been banned from the league).
Â
Oh.. speaking of color, I have to get birthday cards for my Latino step-son and his black (Jamaican, actually) half-brother. Sure hard to keep the Racial Scorecard straight in the Vishess household, yes-sirree!
Â
Â
@left-center It's okay. You are a reasonable person and it's a pleasure talking about these things with you.
@left-center Not all of those are true. Conservatives / Republicans are not racists. Period! People peddle racism for money. Although lots of people in both parties are against abortion, especially late term, the issue will NEVER be over turned. Never. Most people believe it is acceptable in cases of rape and incest. So I really wish people would put that issue out to pasture, but the group NOW and PP need it to get funding.  Same sex marriage is not popular. Some polls show the country evenly divided, but ...they are in everyones face about it. They made it ugly. I encourage you to go sit in your local  welfare office for an hour. Do that and come back and tell me your thoughts.
bacon_pantsÂ
Compromise means both sides working together. Right now we have a President who dictates to Congress, a Democrat controlled Senate that won't even allow a vote on the nationâs budget and a Republican controlled House that won't agree to new taxes without accompanying spending cuts; not such a bad idea to my mind, so nothing gets done. It wasn't any better in 2009/2010 when the Dems controlled both houses so maybe the systems broke.
@Saving Grace Sid Vishess I don't need to argue with you about the right wing hierarchy I need only ask a few questions such as who owns the woman's right to reproduce? or If the right is so tolerant why demonize same sex marriage? Why do you shout so load when trying to make the conservative point when the person that is debating you is seated next to you? Why do you refer to welfare recipients as queens and freeloaders? And why are you so afraid of "people of color?"
@left-center The TP is widely popular. What do they want? Less spending, less govt, lower taxes. Sounds pretty harmless to me. The Christians only want to preserve what they already have and to stop the rabid atheists from trying to remove any and all signs of such things like a Christmas tree, or -gasp- a cross, in public. Again, they are not a scary group at all, no matter how hard the opposite side tries to say these things violate their world. There HAS to be balance, and leftist groups who demand diversity and tolerance need to practice what they preach. Accept all, right?
@left-center  @Saving Grace I disagree with your characterization of the Tea Party as "Far Right." Perhaps you can peruse the platform of the Party and point out which tenet is  "Far-Right?"
Â
http://www.teaparty-platform.com/
@Saving Grace No, that wasn't my point. The Republican Party has splintered into several smaller distinct groups. The right center is now the moderates, a little to the right of them are the Independents (which usually vote GOP) , a little right of them are the fiscal conservatives, then comes the Christian Conservatives and finally on the far right there is the Tea Party. After the 2000 election the GOP started moving to the right and have moved to the right a little further each year. The Obama victory in 2008 sent many party faithful to the right fringe.
@Sid Vishess @Sid Well, perhaps they know something we don't....that the world really will end on 12/21/2012. It happens in movies.Â
@bacon_pants  @Sid Both Party's are certainly to blame. I just wish they could postpone the Economic Apocalypse until 2040 or so. Unless 12/21/2012 dooms us first.
@Saving Grace This is true. But the net balance of the debt grew during Clinton's presidency. But herein lies an important point of that balanced budget, it was achieved by comprimise. And who was the Majority Whip in congress then? Alan Simpson, the very one and same who was a part of the bipartisan commission. It's time to comprimise.Â
@left-center True, lots of folks believe themselves to be Democrats, but don't you think that is because most people are not up to speed on the issues? If all one listens to is Chris Mathews or Rachell Maddow, how informed can one be, really?Â
@bacon_pants Republican congress in the late 90's had a balanced budget, in which Clinton took credit. We can't even get Obama or the Senate to look at a budget now.
@Saving Grace be careful summing up the country as center right. I'll agree that the majority of Americans do sit in the middle but most folks I know lean a little left.
@Sid Vishess I think you're kind of making my point, both parties are dismissive of the proposals. It's reasonable to fear lack of spending cuts while raising taxes. The reverse is also true, cutting taxes and increasing spending. For the most part, I don't remember any of the last 5 presidents actually reducing spending. (debt increased under all 5 for net length of terms). So, both parties are on a doomed path and shouldn't be taken at face value until their actions prove otherwise. So maybe the only thing you're missing is the belief that Republicans (or Democrats) can actually reduce spending. The've yet to prove otherwise at the federal level.
@bacon_pants "both groups who are unwilling to meet in the middle, where most of america sits."For the mopst part, but the country as a whole really sits center-right.Â
@bacon_pants  @Sid The Republicans are rightly wary of Democrat promises to cut spending in the future while increasing taxes NOW. Somehow, those cuts never EVER come about. I did not exactly see Dear Leader running around the country and interrupting his 4 year pledge drive to demand the Republicans adopt these proposals. Or did I miss something?
@Sid Vishess both sides dismissed the report, Republicans primarily because the conclusion was drawn that taxes would have to increase. The bigger lesson drawn is that no one is willing to comprimise, a lost art as noted by former Senator Alan Simpson (R) WY. This is where we stand, a bi-partisan report that was absolute poo-poo'd by both groups who are unwilling to meet in the middle, where most of america sits.   Both sides are acting like moronic children who have no regards for the population at large.
@kennewickman "He Returned The Executive Branch To Fiscal Responsibility After the Bush Debacle"
Â
Well, never mind about the rest of the government.
Â
You sure that link wasn't "the Onion?"
Â
Â
@kennewickman Of course not! Obama has the heroin-addict dropout vote locked up!
@Sid Vishess I wonder if the real Sid Vicious would vote for Romney?
 @kennewickmanÂ
"Obama is running on his record"
Â
Funny, he doesn't mention his "signature" achievement healthcare, or the "stimlus," failed economic policies, Solyndra, Lightsquared, being the most divisive president in history, $4 gas, etc.
Â
That is all a part of his record, and if Obama tried to run on it Americans wouldn't wait until next November to vote Obama out of office, they would laugh him out of office right now!Â
@Saving Grace What of Boner's pledge to get Congress moving?
George Jefferson (successful black businessman) is going to vote for Romney but tell everyone (pollsters included) that he is voting  for Obama.@ByeByeBarry
 @kennewickmanÂ
"Too bad for you that the current polls show Mitt trailing badly"
Â
The recent poll that you cite that showed Obama leading Romney by six points isn't even close to being accurate. Most polls show a very close race and some polls such as Rasmussen have Romney leading by a few points. Mark my words, next November it isn't even going to be close, Romney will beat Obama by a substantial margin. In just a few months I am going to enjoy asking you, what happened Kennewickman?

@kennewickman Any idea why Senator Claire McCaskill D MO is distancing herself from Obama?
@Saving Grace Wow, sounds like an Islamic Kenyan plot! Best build a bunker.Â
@Sid Vishess @kennewickman No one knows that he graduated for fact because his transcripts are SEALED. Odd too, did you know that in some states you cannot get certain business license without college papers? Â
@Sid Vishess I do like your definition of Christianity, it totally works for me. Zombie cults are just plain weird.Â
@Sid Vishess Wow, Obama is so smart he can skip all the classes and still graduate? The guy must be a frickin' genius!
Most transparent White House ever. Funy, Nancy Pelosi said most ETHICAL congress ever and then...well, you know.
@kennewickman Zero was so likable in his college days that not one of his alleged classmates recalls him ever attending a class at Columbia.
And that Obama's  religion where his God was a zombie and then died  and came back to life and went up into the sky? We should examine Obama's religion more closely. Sounds like a cult, too.
Â
I will agree that Obama has accomplished "a lot."
Â
Â
@ByeByeBarry Too bad for you that the current polls show Mitt trailing badly not that actual numbers mean anything to Republicans. Gosh, I guess it turns out that Americans just don't trust or like Mitt and prefer Obama. Now, you are entitled to your opinion but you are truly in a bubble are are not in tune with popular sentiment. You guys have a problem with Mitt but won't admit it; he is unlikeable, he is a Mormon cultist, he is hiding his tax returns, he is an unparalleled flip-flopper and he is a sociopath willing to say anything to get the presidency. Because of Mitt's glaring weaknesses I think Obama is going to rip your clown a new one during the debates.
@GeorgeG. making political mud pies is what he is good at.
Â
The Muslims love us more...darn that didn't work out.
Excellent money management skills - darn that didn't work out either, we owe much to the Chinese and our national debt is at least 4X more than under Bush and O did this in his first 2 years of office..
Racial relationships in our country are an an all time high - darn that one was an udder failure, you know a moo point...
Â
Obama accomplishment - able to drive the bus off the cliff faster than any president in history! And with so many of his cronies under it that is very impressive.
 @GeorgeG. Precisely !!
