Officials: 5 US troops killed in helicopter crash
KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - Officials say five American service members have been killed in helicopter crash in southern Afghanistan.
A statement issued Tuesday from the NATO military coalition says the helicopter crashed on Monday in an area where there was no enemy activity. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
A U.S. official says all five of the dead are American. The official says the helicopter went down outside Kandahar city, the capital of Kandahar province.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the information had not been formally released.

Man.. Helicoptors are Dangerous. I think we should have 5 day waiting periods before someone flys a chopper. and why does ANYONE need 5 passenger capacity on these dangerous flying death traps. it should be limited to no more than 2 passengers. these common sense measures, if they just save 1 childs life.. will be worth it.Â
