Homeowner: 'Ditto' to neighbor's Christmas lights

MARICOPA, Ariz. (AP) — An Arizona woman who knew she couldn't compete head on with her neighbor's elaborate Christmas light display is attracting attention for her response.
Using red and green lights, Kristina Green of Maricopa spelled out the word "ditto" and made an arrow pointing toward her neighbor's home.
KNXV-TV reports that Green's display is made of around 600 lights. Her neighbor's set-up has about 16,000 colorful lights.
Green has created a Facebook page for her "ditto" sign.
Last year, a family in Beaverton, Ore., also erected the word "Ditto" with an arrow on the side of their own home toward a neighbor's house as part of an online movement.

I think that is pretty funny! Its nice to have a chuckle after all the bad news that gets reported.
Wow there's some grinchy people on these boards today! It's under "Off Beat" people of course it's not hard hitting news. Â I han't seen this before and thought it was funny. Thanks KOMO for posting it.
Last night I went to AM/PM and bought a pack of gum. Will KOMO be reporting on that, also?
 @KOMO_Sapiens WHAT?!?!? How is this not front page news? Nobody goes to AM/PM and buys gum! Someone needs to call the news and get this story ran ASAP :)
Like! Â
(But is that really 600 lights?)
 @Doxie If they're the super small ones then yeah it could be.. Only way I see it being that many.Â
 @PortSCUM That's what I thought too.  Maybe they count the ones inside too, and there are a few in the window. Â
yawn, how original.
I see this several times a year. Why is this news?
 @PortSCUM Did you set this story as your home page?
 @PortSCUM Perhaps because you selfishly never reported it so the rest of us could enjoy it! You seem to me to be a Joy Enervating Regressive Krank.
@PortSCUM --- That's great for you but obviously there's a lot of us out here that had not seen it before. Maybe you should just stick to the articles under the "Around the World" section. Wow in fact there's a new post about a man carving a pentagram into his son ...is that new and fresh enough for you?
@PortSCUM Because sometimes its nice to report on something that isn't:
Murder
War
GLBT themed
Politics
Government Spending
you name it
 @TheBronze  @PortSCUM It's still repetitive. I mean, earlier today I was walking and a car stopped so I could cross the road. That was nice. Shouldn't KOMO be reporting on that too?Â
 @PortSCUM  @TheBronze Why report anything then?  Pretty much everything you read/see in the news has been done by someone else before. Â
Â
Or..... Â you could just just choose not to read the stories that you find not worthy of the news. Â I mean really, what's more pathetic - seeing a news story that you consider lame, or actually taking the time to comment on how lame you think it is? Â
 @PortSCUM  @TheBronze  This is something that was done for fun and she thought out of the box about opening a Facebook page due to this. People saw it and got a laugh, and maybe got a warm memory of them being a child and looking at lights or hanging them up with dad. Maybe it is getting attention due to people feeling Christmas joy. Little things like this helps people remember good times and not be so stress out with the holidays.Â
@TheBronze you forgot Fiscal Cliff
 @northwestsurfer  @TheBronze And Lindsay Lohan.
