Nudist park holds bash to attract younger crowd
LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. (AP) - Nudist resorts have a reputation for attracting older adults, but one Florida park is trying to change that.
The South Florida Sun Sentinel reports Sunsport Gardens will hold a weekend bash aimed at attracting nudists ages 18 to 30. The Florida Young Naturist's Fourth Annual End of Summer Naked Bash is slated to be a celebration of nudity and body acceptance.
Sunsport Gardens principal shareholder Morley Schloss tells the paper the park has been trying to bring in younger members with lower prices, 24-hour hot tubs and Friday night drum circles.
The gathering at the 40-acre Loxahatchee park is expected to gather several hundred young adults. Nudist resorts around the country have been working to attract a younger crowd.

My dog doesn't have to wear pants, why should I. Do people think dogs are less disgusting with their nasty bits hanging out?
That being said, when I was at the Solstice parade a couple of years ago, I thoroughly enjoyed the parade as much as anybody. When I went around to the fair side of the event where the food was, there were a couple of old farts shaking hands in the crowd of people who really should have been dressed. I think someone said they were city counsel? I don't know, just didn't want to see it. I could have sued for visual assault.
They should consider inviting bands to play, and having craft beer and wine makers feature their products.Â
well of COURSE they are trying to get the "younger" crowd....what old fart wants to look at other naked old farts???
It's not suprising that "nudists" to the general public are nothing but swingers, creeps, and perverts. They're not leftist loons who protest naked in public parades. They're just normal people who enjoy the outdoors without the restriction of clothing. Until you actually try it for yourself, you'll never understand. It's the second-most fun thing you can do with your clothes off and extremely relaxing. Visit Lake Bronson or Fraternity Snoqualmie in western Washington or drive to Portland and visit Collins Beach on Sauvie Island. You'll find nothing but great people and will never want to swim with a swimsuit on ever again!
As usual, it seems the only people interested in public nudity are the ones who should never, ever, EVER be seen naked in public.
It's not "public nudity." Nudist resorts are privately owned. Nude beaches are designated as such, so it's not like it's a surprise.

Nudists are not exhibitionists nor interested in breaking the law by walking around a downtown public area nude. Sadly, others that take part in such activity give genuine nudists a bad name.
If they wanna attract the younger crowd then they should have that band that plays the "I'm Sexy and I Know It" song... I can just imagine the crowd dancing during the "Wiggle wiggle wiggle yeah!" (Ewwwww)

Right, because as a 27 year old guy, it's going to be sooooooo ewwww seeing women my age or younger going "wiggle wiggle wiggle.".......
Well the article attracted me to read in on it... but honestly with the sickos and the type of creapy people I hear my wife deals with every day at work I would not be attracted to a nudeist thing with simple drum circles and honestly I am more intrigued to where this whole deal started... 'to google....'
nudist parks "are" an old folks thing. Why would young people want to go to a "place" where there are a bunch of old to middle-aged naked people? And why would they want to get in a hot tub with a bunch of old naked people?

The only people I know with hot tubs are...yeah, old people. Maybe they should try things that might appeal to younger people.
My favorite was seeing an entire visiting family from Asia gasp all at once in disgust at the naked middle aged man walking past on his way to the nude beach in Vancouver BC. That was funny and simultaneously creepy.Â
Small story, they gave us the bare facts though.
