Record-setting joint planned for Seattle Hempfest

SEATTLE -- A marijuana purveyor hopes to build a 2-pound joint during Hempfest, the first time the annual pot celebration will be held since marijuana possession was decriminalized in Washington.

In a statement Tuesday, Prohibition Brands President Brian Laoruangroch said the company hopes to build a 1 kilogram joint during Hempfest. The monster doob would be the largest on record, according to Laoruangroch.

Smoking such a joint at Hempfest would be illegal – though laws on pot possession and public smoking have never really been much of an impediment to Hempfest revelers. Laoruangroch hasn’t said where he plans to build the joint.
