Saving face: Ind. man removing Romney-Ryan tattoo

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (AP) — A northern Indiana man who had the Mitt Romney-Paul Ryan campaign logo tattooed onto his face "to make politics fun" says it's time for it to come off.
Eric Hartsburg of Michigan City, Ind., says he plans to have the red-and-blue "R'' removed from its prominent place next to his right eye.
He says a Republican supporter paid him $15,000 to get the tattoo and keep it until at least the election was over.
Weeks after President Barack Obama defeated the former Massachusetts governor in the Nov. 6 election, Hartsburg says "now to me it represents not a losing campaign, but a sore losing campaign."
Hartsburg says he reached out to the Romney campaign about the tattoo, but feels snubbed that no campaign staffer ever contacted him.

A half wit gave him a piece of his mind, and he held on to it.
What a moron.
This guy should hook up with that woman who scratched Obama into her face and then made up a false story about getting attacked by Obama supporters.Â
"Dude, where's my face?"
Should have used makeup or a sharpie instead. At least those come off without scarring. I'm afraid that $15k is not enough to do that to my face.
Wear it. Â Shows as much intelligence as the people he was voting for! Â And he was snubbed. Â Ha!
I want to follow the advice of a man with a tattoo on his face, that has to do with  politics ................................. said no one at all.Â
Nothing says LOSER quite like getting a political tattoo on your face, no matter who you support, or whether they won or lost.Â
This guy is as lame as the Romney/Ryan ticket was inept.
And good luck with that removal. I understand that it is extremely painful and that red is especially difficult to do.
Fifteen grand will easily cover the cost of removal and leave the dude with some decent change in his pocket.
Must be the Republican attempt to reach out to get the youth vote.
It's almost like tattooing the word idiot on your forehead. Almost.
I wonder if the tattoo artist told him what an idiot he is for getting this tattoo before he got it?
And now he's got to endure the horribly painful process of tattoo removal ON HIS FACE. You know where that tattoo should have been placed? On your BUTT!
Interesting, Hartsburg reached out to the Romney campaign and was snubbed. Wow, that is so surprising. Don't these non rich idiots who supported and would still support Romney and his Right Wing BS get it, Republicans do not care about anyone earning less than a million bucks or more a year. They've proved that many times over. So what does it take to wake these blind no brain something idiots following the rich and powerful thinking that they will be one of them if they win. A swift kick where it hurts? Well, Jews who supported Hitler and his Right Wing Nazis rise to power thinking that they had inside track to safety learned the hard way. Hitler after gaining power thanked them, then took their money and shot them. Right Wing is Right Wing, power and money is all that matters to them. That has been proven many times over. They like to be called "Conservative" and wave the flag and thump the Bible, well Reagan was Conservative, Republicans today are Right Wing, there is a difference.
@growlerxrunner And you call Republicans crazy? Jesus, do you even read the crap you just wrote? You're like a rabid dog.
Â
Extremists on BOTH sides are the problem.
How much does a tattoo removal cost? If it's under $15,000 this kid made a profit off the Republican supporter by doing absolutely nothing and getting a few minutes in the spotlight. Not really that dumb.
@DudeIncognito If it's done by lazer it can be costly, not to mention painful, and possibly dangerous, being so close to the eye...
He should dump the idiotic pony tail and scrunchie too it's so un republican looking
Not the sharpest tool in the shed.
I'm sure he was a big hit in the trailer park.
IDIOT !
That logo makes me laugh, it kindof looks like the side view of 3 dudes lined up & *******......
@Shelly that should be the official coat of arms for the republican party
Doesn't matter who won the election; the guy is an idiot for having a political logo tattooed on his face. He should be forced to replace the double "R" with a giant "L" right in the middle of his forehead.Â
I bet you can't find a republican willing to pay to have it removed.
P.S.-Whats that pink thing on the back of his head?
@Klondiko It's a pink scrunchie (hair tie)! LOL

Well you can remove the tattoo, but it won't change the fact you're a moron! A political tattoo? Seriously? So not only does he go thru the pain and suffering of the tattoo, but also the pain and suffering of losing! Is it really worth it?
@Zoso Don't forget the pain and suffering of the tattoo removal. That's gonna be more painful than the tattoo and the loss!
true walking commentary on republican stupidity
@ballardanian lol, you say that as if there aren't idiots in both parties in staggering numbers.
HA HA HA publicizing what a twit you are for mitt. LOL no one in their right mind would contact this Hartsburg fellow with that on his face; if anything rational people will keep their distance.
He feels snubbed nobody contacted him about a tattoo? Get over yourself kid, nobody cares, its a tattoo for godsake. Besides, only a moron would tattoo a campaign logo on his face.
Little does he know that red is one of the hardest colors to remove! Haha.. good luck buddy. ..oh yeah, and it hurts like heck.
 @jec0435 Especially if he's a redneck! ;)
I think it looks good and serves a good purpose, the tattoo instantly identifies him as a giant d-bag, pretty much like anyone wearing anything that has "tapout" on it
