Seahawks fan to exchange gifts with Wis. mayor

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - A Seattle Seahawks fan is trying to smooth things over with Wisconsin after the disputed touchdown call that decided Monday night's Packer game.
Rudy McCoy-Pantoja Jr., a landscaper in Seattle, says he wanted to send local beer, smoked salmon and kringles to Green Bay's mayor, but Jim Schmitt wouldn't accept it.
His office says the mayor doesn't participate with gift exchanges during the regular season.
So McCoy-Pantoja Jr. put his finger on his globe to find a different Wisconsin city and decided on Delavan in southeastern Wisconsin.
Delavan Mayor Mel Nieuwenhuis agreed to exchange gifts. He plans to send six or 12-pack of Miller High Life, cheese and fresh venison he hunted himself.
McCoy-Pantoja tells the Green Bay Press-Gazette someone needed to be positive on this story.

it is good that someone would do that... and recognize it for what it is,... a GAME... (reason to sit on the couch and have a few drinks)
He's sending a 6 pack of Miller High Life?? Cmon, Wisconsin brews beer that is much better than that. Send him a 6 of Leinenkugel's Oktoberfest for Pete's sake.
Whether it was a catch or not, or whether Tate should've been called for interference, it's a shame that it had to come down to that play. Had Seattle's offense not have fallen asleep at the wheel in the 3rd quarter, it would be indisputable beyond a reasonable doubt that they won the game.
Now with today's loss, I am starting to lose faith in Pete Caroll's handling of Wilson.

@ulquiorra I'm a Packers fan and it WAS a catch. The Packer fans who think otherwise are just butt hurt, ignore them.Â
@PackersCougsBravesSounders I agree, it was a catch. After reviewing countless photos and video that have come out in the past week following the game, I've become more and more convinced that it was actually the correct call.
Well I'm sure that'll help Green Bay fans dry their eyes. ;)
