Belgium Migration Museum
A waffle iron is exhibited at the Red Star Line museum in Antwerp, Belgium on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013. The newly opened museum tells the universal story of migration based on the stories of actual Red Star Line passengers. Between 1873 and 1934, the Belgian shipping company Red Star Line transported approximately 2 million people from Antwerp to New York, many in pursuit of the 'American Dream'. The cast iron waffle maker is just one of the many items that passengers carried with them, not knowing what to expect at their new destination. (AP Photo/Virginia Mayo)
