I love social media. It is an amazing way to stay in touch with friends, meet new people, and find out second-by-second updates about news events from around the globe. I am constantly amazed and grateful for the interactions I’ve had with people who I would have never met without social media.

But…. sometimes I get stuck in the social media loop. And I can’t get out.

Here’s what usually happens in my brain:

“Let me check my Facebook page to see what’s going on.”

“Now let me check the KOMO Facebook page to see what people are saying.”

“Time to check my Twitter account. And KOMO’s Twitter account.”

“Oh, I wonder if there are any comments on my blog.”

“Let me see if I’ve got one of the top stories on Intersect.”

“It’s been awhile so maybe I should check Facebook again.”

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Does this happen to you? Do you get stuck in the loop? How do you get out?? Here’s a funny clip about this problem from the new show Portlandia.
