Orcas pay visit to Pender Island, B.C.

By KOMO Staff

Residents of Pender Island, B.C. got a rare treat last month when several orca whales paid them a visit.

And one man managed to grab his camcorder just in time.

As he began capturing the majestic creatures, they swam even closer, to the residents' delight.

They got so close, in fact, that the man shooting the footage can be heard saying, "I can't zoom back enough."

Aren't they just magnificent beings?
