Microsoft uses view from Beacon Hill to sell new Internet Explorer

By Travis Mayfield

I saw this new TV ad for Microsoft's Internet Explorer 9 last night.

I instantly recognized that view of Seattle on someone's Facebook timeline cover photo because I've taken similar ones many times before.

Clearly that's the view from Jose Rizal Park or Bridge on North Beacon Hill at sunset.

Who needs Kerry Park right?  The south end has the best view of the skyline hands down...just ask Microsoft.

(By the way, I just Shazamed the song and its called Too Close by Alex Clare)
