Joe's Vault: Looking back at back to school

KOMO reporter Ken Schram interviews a student heading back to school.

School has already started in a few districts and more will start their school year next week, so I thought I'd pull a story off of one of my favorite shelves in the vault: "Time Capsule," a weekly feature we did in 1987 and 1988.

Today's feature was originally broadcast on September 10, 1987. We took a look at the first days of school in 1967 and 1977.

Whenever I see these stories, I always wonder where the people we spoke with are now. So spread the word on this one and let me know if you can identify these once-young people (hey, so was I), maybe it's you!

And maybe you long for your school days again. My father used to tell me he wished he was back in school whenever I would complain about having to get up and go that day. Now I know what he was talking about!
