SEATTLE -- Whiners.

That's about as polite as I'll go in describing the people who are all tied in a knot over the Blue Angels being back in town.

They come with a whole range of petty complaints about the Navy's aerobatics team.

They sputter about how the big, bad loud Blues frighten "Fluffy" the cat and scare "Princess" the dog.

I-90 has to be closed down and that forces self-centered drivers out of their way.

And let's not ignore the holier-than-thou environmental freaks.

They're busy wringing their hands over how the Blue Angles eat up the ozone, waste precious oil and contribute mightily to pollution and global warming.

Then there are the myopic malcontents who berate the Blues on the basis that they represent the war-mongering military complex.

If you happen to fit into any or all of the above categories, might I humbly offer the following advice?

-Take a deep breath.

-Give "Fluffy" and "Princess" a blanket to hide under.

-Just worry about reducing your own damn carbon footprint

-Sit down, shut up and quit whining so that the rest of us can enjoy the majestic poetry in motion that is the Blue Angels.

And be sure to join Ken, along with John Carlson, on "The Commentators", which airs every weekday from 3-6 p.m. on AM 570 KVI.

It's a lively exchange of information, insight and perspective with two guys who don't agree on much, but still manage to enjoy each other as they tackle issues of the day. Even better, callers are invited in on the verbal action.
