I’m tired of the Bush Administration, John McCain and other Republican lackeys touting the fact that their misbegotten war in Iraq has had this one measure of success.

Sure, I’m glad the surge has reduced sectarian violence, but it hasn't eliminated it.

I’m glad that fewer U.S.troops are dying, but American blood is still being shed on a daily basis.

The surge worked yet Iraq still doesn't have reliable basic services like electricity, sewer treatment and consumer goods.

The surge worked yet the Iraqi government still has not taken control of its country.

The surge worked yet American taxpayers are still paying $10 billion a month to underwrite the war while 10's of billions of Iraqi dollars are piled up in a budget surplus.

The surge worked yet we've lost ground and momentum in Afghanistan.

The surge worked yet Osama bin Laden is not dead and al Qaeda thrives more then ever, allowed to plot its next terrorist move.

I’m tired of hearing the surge worked.

I want to hear the Bush administration and John McCain tell us what will get us out of Iraq and when.

I want to hear more than empty words focused on an illusionary success.
