Viewers to Ken: Quit drinking McCain Kool-Aid
Giving props to Sen. John McCain for what I thought was his "A" game during the final presidential debate brought a rush of email from folks who think I’ve gone over to the dark side. (See the original story here.)

Christopher Hodges writes: "I’m sorry, but McCain to me is never in his 'A' game. He's the most negative and hateful person I’ve ever seen ... and I’m a conservative voter."

Paul McLeod: "(McCain’s) campaign has been erratic at best, focusing on useless issues like Obama's acquaintance with Bill Ayers."

Scott Collier: "I thought McCain brought his B-minus game. ... I wish you were right (Ken), but you're usually wrong about Republicans, and this is no different."

Cheryl Malicoat: "I vote that Obama won ... because of the childish facial expressions that McCain had each time Obama said something. All those ... wide-eyed 'oh my gosh' expressions came across as ... immature."

Gary Kirch: "What came across to me was how old and angry McCain seemed to be."

And finally, from Mark Stansfield: "What is up with you Schram? ... Did somebody slip the Kool-Aid in your coffee? ... I suspect that you are actually a secret member of the McCain clan."

You got me, Mark.

I’m actually a sleeper conservative shill.

Thanks for writing everyone.

Have a great weekend.
