The Schrammie: Shooting his mouth off

Summary

With budget cuts that could eliminate some area sheriff's deputies, State Senator Tim Sheldon says that's not really a problem. He declared "open season" on criminals and noted that those who break the law in his jurisdiction can expect a "hot lead enema" from armed citizens.

The Schrammie: Shooting his mouth off

State Sen. Tim Sheldon

He's a state senator and a county commissioner.

But these days, he's looking to pad his resume with a little something different.

So if he'd just take his twitchy finger off the trigger, I'd like to ask State Senator and Mason County Commissioner Tim Sheldon to come on down.

With budget cuts that could eliminate up to five deputies from the sheriff's office, Tim says that's not really a problem.

He simply declared it "open season" on criminals in Mason County and noted that those who break the law in his jurisdiction can expect a "hot lead enema" from well armed citizens.

Tim was quick to point out that while the pistol-packin' folks in his neck of the woods can take the law into their own hands, he wasn't advocating vigilantism.

I guess Tim was just shooting his mouth off.

Well, sensing that Tim is getting impatient, I'd better wrap this up.

For his high-caliber approach to keeping the peace and for his Charles Bronson approach to law and order...

Take a bow Senator-slash-Commissioner Tim Sheldon, because this "Schrammie" is for you.
