The Schrammie: 'Openness' argument is bull

He says it's merely about openness.

I don't believe him.

He adds it's only meant to encourage discussion.

I think he's full of bull.

So if Brian Murphy would climb off that high horse of his, I'd like him to come on down.

Murphy, the director of Whosigned.org, is behind the harebrained scheme to publish the names and addresses of anyone who signs a spiteful petition to overturn the state's new gay rights law referred to as "everything but marriage."

I'm an ardent supporter of same sex marriage and gay rights, but there's no way I can condone Murphy's attempt to keep people from signing the petition using threats and intimidation.

And even while I don't agree with a majority vote deciding the rights of a minority, I think Murphy's attempt to keep people from exercising their rights makes him a hypocrite.

I hope that Murphy's underhanded efforts don't create a backlash.

I hope the move to overturn the "everything but marriage law" goes down in flames despite his throwing gas on the fire.

So take a bow Brian Murphy, even though I think this bobble head has more brains than you do.
