Viewers to Ken: Put a sock in it
Conservative Christians are so totally ticked off that Referendum 71 passed that there's talk of putting yet another measure on the ballot to try to take away civil rights protections for same sex couples.

I called them out on that idea and in turn got called out by conservative Christians.

Mary Fors writes: "Someone who opposes gay marriage isn't a hater. This is America. We have a right to political process...but I guess not according to you 'tolerant' guys."

Stephen Blakemore: "It's unfortunate we live in a free society that wants to do (its) own thing. (Its) own thing being defined as not God's way."

Keith Warnock: "The goal of gays and lesbians is pretty clear...The forced degradation of the institution of the family in our country."

Brett Rodney: "You don't believe that marriage is instituted of God. It's that simple. This is all just an argument of values. Secular versus traditional."

David Reeve: "Like it or not, our country was founded on Judeo-Christian values found in the bible. That's what makes our country...so fantastic."

And finally, from just "Bob": "Put a sock in it Ken...King County is already a moral cesspool and people like you are trying to make it even more so."

Bob, while I may sometimes put my foot in my mouth, I still refuse to put a sock in it.

Thanks for writing everyone.

Have a great weekend.
