The Schrammie: Holiday Christmas edition
With Christmas just over a week away and the celebration of Hanukah well under way, this week's "Schrammie" goes out to all those who, in one way or another, have caved in to the politically correct mentality that would homogenize the world we live in.
So...
To every public official who has pronounced that "holiday trees" are now the preferred seasonal accoutrement...
This "Schrammie" is for you.
To every retail outlet that bombards us with holiday specials, holiday sales and holiday events until December 26th when everything suddenly becomes the "AFTER CHRISTMAS" extravaganza...
This "Schrammie" is for you.
To every teacher, every principal and every school administrator who has barred Frosty and Rudolph from not just the classroom but from the youngsters who look to you all for guidance and leadership...
This "Schrammie's" for you.
And to everyone who is so intimidated; so conditioned; so fearful of yuletide greetings and wishes that they utter nothing but the innocuous and non-descript "happy holidays"...
This "Schrammie's" for you.
To everyone else, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah a good Kwanza and just for the heck of it, happy new year.
