The Schrammie: She still wants to be our mommy
They say it's as bad as if you were driving drunk.
She says you should get a big fat ticket if you're caught doing it.
And because of that, I'd like to invite State Senator Tracey Eide to pull the Bluetooth from her ear and come on down.
As the self-appointed champion of taking cell phones out of drivers' hands, Tracey says she's planning to introduce a measure that would make using a cell phone while driving a primary offense.
Meaning that if a law enforcement officer catches you holding a cell phone to your ear while behind the wheel, you'd get pulled over and hit with a fat ticket.
Right now you can only get a ticket for cell phone talking if you're pulled over for some other offense.
Well, Tracey's not content with that level of harassment.
She insists that for our own good - not to mention a new revenue stream - using a cell phone while driving should cost us.
In short, Tracey still wants to be our mommy.
Next up: Tickets for paying attention to fussy babies in the backseat; citations for little yappy dogs on drivers laps and fines for sipping coffee while applying makeup as you put a new disc in the CD player.
So take a bow Mommy Tracey.
Because this "Schrammie's" for you.
