Viewers to Ken: Give 'em the boot!
It's called "The DREAM Act."
And while one of my commentaries supported the idea of giving undocumented immigrant children a path to citizenship by either joining the military or attending a state college at residential tuition rates, a lot of people don't like this idea.
John Crane writes: "You can call them 'undocumented immigrants' all you want but that will never change the fact they are illegal immigrants."
Barry Grimmett: "Make the military service the only mandate and allow them to earn money and opportunity for an education…(My) paying for an illegal alien to go to college just doesn't make sense..."
Dan Goodrum: "Allowing people who are here illegally to (be allowed to stay) just because they graduated high school...is stupid."
Mike Ledgerwood: "Those who receive handouts typically don't deserve them...If you are in this country illegally then you are a criminal and should be sent back."
And finally from Wendy Wicken: "I don't think an illegal immigrant should be able to move my grandson out of the way to they can have a spot instead of him."
