Ken Schram: Get this racist off the school board
The Marysville School District has a problem.
His name is Michael Kundu.
As a school board member, Kundu's been under fire for some comments he made linking racial genetics to intellectual ability and achievement.
Earlier this month Kundu sent an e-mail to some of his Marysville school district colleagues stating that east Asians averaged bigger brains and higher intelligence that Anglo-Saxons but that Anglo-Saxons had superior brains and averaged higher intelligence that people from Africa.
Kundu sourced his remarks based on research from some whacked-out Canadian university professor who also believes men are smarter than women.
Kundu now says he wasn't aware that the Canadian professor was so racist.
Yeah, right.
Kundu's under pressure to resign, something he says he may resist because he sees this, in part, as a fight over free speech.
I'm a big believer in free speech.
In fact, I think I'll exercise me some right now.
Get this racist, bigoted excuse for a person as far away from children's education as possible.
And do it as fast as possible.
If he won't resign, fire him or recall him.
Michael Kundu is a problem that needs to go away.
