Ken Schram: A guide for voters

 @Libertyinfinite Ken's column is an 'opinion' column. He states his opinion and you have the opportunity to comment, as you are doing. It doesn't matter whether you agree or not, Ken makes you think about your view and maybe, go do some research elsewhere.  

If you want to be effective in disagreeing with him you need to provide facts or at least give an intelligent alternative. Just calling someone a communist doesn't cut it.

If you really think this state is so bad - you have the freedom to move.

 @takncarabizniz Propaganda designed to herd voters into blindly voting in the destruction of individual liberty is communist propaganda. We Washingtonians have lived on propaganda for a good solid thirty years. 

 

Why do you think our medias never tell us what our governments are doing? Where our money goes, after they take it? Because they need us to be ignorant as to what they are doing to us.

 

We didn't get this bad because we are bad people. We got this way because of communist propagandists like Ken here. He will do anything to hide from us what our governments are really doing. & pick which "stories" he writes that will elicit a pro-nanny state power agenda.

 

Washingtonians are innocent. It's our medias that killed Washington State. & we the people need to rise against communist propaganda. & demand someone start telling the truth.

 

The schools in Washington State for instance, are abusive to our children a majority of the time. Someone needs to fire up the human soul, from whence freedom came.

@Jim McGraw. YOu are wrong. It is actually 'approve' not a yes vote which will give us gay people the right to have the same marriage laws as streight people in this state.

 

I don't understand what the heck you are saying. Are you agianst gay marriage?

 @Jim McGraw Same thing with the pot laws. Washington State is now growing & selling pot. It will also buy pot, to re-sell, for a profit. What they do is charge everyone for the card. & then, they are the dealer. They keep growing it illegal, so the state doesn't have any competition. & I think this one says that after you buy their card, if you grow it for your own use, you owe the state money in taxes. This stuff they are doing in Washington State is nuts. Someone needs to speak out. Our state is a drug dealer, just so it can rob yet another group of innocents blind.

While most of us would like Olympia to be far more restrained with thier spending, at least some of us realize two things:

1) Eyeman is a trumped up trickster who cares not for anything but making a profit off the backs of the idealist folks who are blind enough to follow him.

2) This 2/3's vote initiative is an unconstitutional law and because of that, it's a waste of our tax money to pass it - because it will be fought AGAIN and it will lose AGAIN.  The state Constitution says that the legislature needs merely a majority vote, anything stated to the contrary is a violation of the Constitution.  

 

You want to fix Olympia?  Vote the right folks in or get the Constitution changed, stop wasting our time AND our tax money with these lies from Eyeman. 

 @BH The way I look at it, a communist propagandist like Sham can be useful only as what to do the opposite of. America got the way it is because of propagandists like him & komo communist news.

 @rattles I agree. Ken here is a communist whack job. But it's unfortunate that because we are a propagandist state in a propagandist nation, we have grown rigid, & stay within our little box of four little teeny walls, no matter if we are liberal, conservative, or green & pink polka dots.

 

I can no longer identify myself. Most likely I am a conservative extremist. I say that freedom comes from the human soul. But today, I've got no label. 

 

We must rise against rigid partisanship. Myself personally, I am a deist. So being right, they wouldn't let me in. But you can't ever agree with everything down the line like communist propagandist shram here. Or do the same for the right. Especially given that Romney is so moronic, he drives us all down. 

 

I don't play to sides. I hope we're getting out of it. & out of falling for propaganda like kenny doll communist protector here. 

 

I am a native of the Seattle area. We, had KISW. We, were better. We, have a huge beautiful spirit that can't be boxed. We, are from whence freedom came. We aught not let ourselves be bound by them. 

 @rattles Well, that flies int he face of the fourth-grade bully mentality that so many posters here (and everywhere else as well, it seems) embrace: "my way or I'll threaten to beat you up."

 @rattles Better yet, don't call yourself any of those things and you won't have to defend (and re-elect) your fellow label-wearers when they do dumb things. As a side benefit it frustrates the hell out of most people when they can't fit you in a little box in their mind.

 @political_i Or how about just electing McKenna, who can veto the insanity of the liberal agenda. Now there's some real power people. If it's despotism you want to end, McKenna is a must. He isn't an extremist, just a realist. He won't drive us unto the Puget Sound & sink us all, like been in D.C. too long to remember how to think for himself insleey will do.

 @schramalot The state constitution sets specific majorities for passage of certain bills, including taxes. And specific majorities for voter passage of constitutional amendments as well.

 

The state constitution also specifies that the state has a paramount responsibility to fund certain things - especially the public schools - despite all efforts of a certain party and a certain initiative king in particular to handcuff all such efforts. The constitution treats schools as having an overriding priority above even law enforcement and highways.

 

What the state constitution does not provide - and I sort of wish it did - is specific personal penalties when state legislators fail to meet their constitutional obligations - or when individuals keep bringing costly and unconstitutional initiatives to the fore which then must be disposed by very costly lawsuits and court action. I am getting especially tired of Tim I'm-an-idiot wasting tax dollars on his flood of pulp fiction, fantasy and usurping of the constitutional authority and responsibility of the elected legislature. He's like a professional sports player who insists of trying to rewrite all the rules to suit his whim and personal strengths.
