AMMON, Idaho - Denny Austad is a hunter - he has been since he was a little kid hunting with a squirrel gun back in Minnesota.

But he came to the West because he wanted to hunt big game and boy has he succeeded - with more than 30 trophy elk.

Austad even makes his own guns and back in September, he took one of those guns to Utah to hunt a giant 9-year-old elk called the Spider Bull.

And with just an hour of sleep, Austad bagged the world famous bull with one shot.

"It was several months of work and anticipation, almost three months of effort and so the excitement, the adrenaline, the adulation was as high as anything I've ever felt in my life," he said.

Now, Austad is waiting to see if his Spider Bull is a world record. He won't know for sure until this spring, but no matter what, Austad is living every hunter's dream.
