BECU Paper Shredding Event
Do you have documents with personal and sensitive information, or unwanted TV's, computers, laptops, or cell phones? BECU is hosting a FREE Paper Shredding and eCycle event at their Everett, Federal Way Pavilions, and Tukwila locations on Saturday, April 19th from 10:00am-1:00pm. Stop by the Tukwila Financial Center (12770 Gateway Drive) in Tukwila between 10:00am and noon to meet KOMO Newsradio's ConsumerMan, Herb Weisbaum. This event is free for shredding up to 3 grocery bags or 2 banker boxes full of paper and it is open to the community. Plus, recycle unwanted TV's, computers, computer monitors, laptops, and cell phones for free. Goodwill Earth Day
Celebrate Earth Day with KOMO Newsradio's Tom Hutyler on Tuesday, April 22nd at Goodwill at South 38th Street in Tacoma from 11a-1p for our donation drive. Now is the perfect time to clean out your closet and organize your home. Take your donations to your local Goodwill today! By taking your gently used donations to Goodwill, you will be helping to build better communities with Goodwill's free job training program. With Goodwill's job training program, they are able to give students the skills and training they need to get a job and keep it. Last year alone, Seattle Goodwill and Goodwill of Olympics and Rainier Region trained over 16,000 people within the Puget Sound. Mom & Me at the Zoo
KOMO Newsradio will be at the 24th annual Mom & Me at the Zoo presented by Verity Credit Union on Saturday, May 10th from 9:30am to 3pm at Woodland Park Zoo. Come enjoy this day designed for moms and their families at the zoo’s North Meadow. There will be fun for everyone with crafts, live entertainment, inflatables, giveaways and more.
