SEATTLE - There's a new, brightly painted landscape in West Seattle for drivers to admire.  It's the newest piece of public art on Delridge Way, and drivers can be seen admiring the mural while headed south looking left, or northbound looking right.

The "Delridge Mural" is being painting along a long retraining wall at the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center.

The idea is to brighten the neighborhood, and enrich the lives of local teens like 14 year-old Mariona, who lives just up the street and is helping artists complete the mural.

"They named some jobs, and this one sounded more interesting," she said.  "I just hope people like it."

The mural is a joint project between the Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association, Seattle Police Department, and the Seattle Youth Violence Prevention Initiative.
