About Bill Yeend
Morning Show Anchor
What I like most about waking up with you on KOMO Newsradio is that we get the first opportunity to learn about major developments in Seattle and the world. Also, the people I work with help keep me young!
Away from work, I’m an avid golfer. My favorite courses are The Home Course, Bandon Dunes, Sahalee, Indian Canyon (Spokane) and my old stomping grounds at Walla Walla Country Club.
Believe it or not, I also love art of all kinds. On a recent vacation, I enjoyed visiting the Dali Museum in Tampa, Florida.
I’m also an Alumnus of the 2011 National Football Champion Eastern Washington University. Go Eags!!
Thanks for listening to KOMO Newsradio Morning News!

About Manda Factor
Morning Show Anchor
One of the best parts of waking up so early is getting to watch the sunrise—clouds willing, of course. We get to know what’s going on in the world, first thing in the morning, and we get to share that with you.
Iin the true spirit of being objective, you should know I attended both WSU and the UW. So I root for both teams!
When I do get to sleep in (as in past 5 a.m.), I find happiness in my daughter, my husband, my family and music of all kinds. I am a freak for all things Dalmatian—including the 2 we have! I’m also a huge baseball fan and was the PA announcer for the Bellingham Mariners.
Thanks for being a part of KOMO Newsradio Morning News!

About Jane Shannon
KOMO Newsradio Afternoon Anchor
At KOMO: since 2010
I’ll admit it: I’m a radio fanatic and news junkie! That’s what makes it so much fun to work in such a great news environment with terrific and dedicated people.
My first paid radio job was at KITI in Centralia, where I was Anchor and News Director. Then, I jumped to KTNT/KNBQ in Tacoma, as morning drive anchor and beat reporter. After that, I headed for TV at ABC affiliate KRGV-TV in Texas. I realized I enjoyed ‘not’ having to worry about wearing make-up for TV, so I moved back to radio—to KXXO-FM in Olympia; KING AM in Seattle and Morning News co-host at KIRO, before I settled in at KOMO.
My northwest roots are deep. I hail from Ashland, Oregon I’m a Master Gardener with a weedy yard. I love my two sons, my two dachshunds and my 21-year-old cat named Stan. Oh, and I’m not a bad cook!

About Herb Weisbaum
Consumer Expert
Herb Weisbaum is An Emmy award-winning Reporter and one of America’s top consumer experts. His reports have been honored by the Associated Press, Columbia Journalism Review, National Consumers League and the Society of Professional Journalists. And we’re lucky enough to have him on KOMO Newsradio every weekday afternoon, 3-7pm.
Here’s more from Herb…
The best part of my job with KOMO is being able to help you avoid scams, save money and stay healthy. I’ve been “looking out for you” for nearly 30 years through my roles at KOMO, NBC’s Today Show and as the Consumer Correspondent for CBS News.
Away from the microphone, I’m proud to be a long-time volunteer with the Seattle Humane Society. My wife Debra and I have worked to raise millions of dollars to help homeless animals in our community—something we’re very passionate about. We recently lost our beloved dog Jack and are thankful to continue cuddling with our cat, Casey.
I attended Syracuse University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Television-Radio and a Bachelor of Science in Advertising.
I'm a model train enthusiastic and still have my original Lionel trains.
I started as a Rock 'n Roll Disc Jockey back in the 70's.
And—ready for this?--I know the lyrics to every hit rock 'n' roll song since 1962.

About Brian Gregory
Business Editor
Understanding the challenging world of money and investing is no easy task. But, I love doing it!
I’m a Seattle native from the U-District, so I know our local business landscape and how U.S. and International markets affect everyone here.
When I’m not in front of a mic, I’m on the water or ‘under’ it, as a certified Scuba Diver, along with my wife Carol. We have 2 chocolate Labs, 2 cats and a shared philosophy of “Buy low, sell high.”
I also keep a well-stocked car trunk, so I’m always prepared—to play golf. I never drive anywhere without those golf clubs!
If you have question for me or a local business tip, contact me at bgregory@komonews.com or on Twitter, @komomoneyman.

About Tom Hutyler
KOMO Newsradio Sports Anchor
I’m the ‘voice’ of Morning Sports on KOMO and the ‘voice’ of the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field. I figure I’m living my dream covering sports.
Every day brings new stories to share with you. And, I know my stories will help you win in your Fantasy League.
Off the job: I give back by coaching high school baseball (since the late 90’s) and high school basketball (since 2006). I love to golf. And, as an “adopted” Coug, (I even have a diploma to prove it) I follow the WSU teams.
Those big bass voice tones helped launch my career while I was still in high school. Because of it, I never had the chance to attend WSU. Still, I bleed ‘Crimson and Gray’.
Tell me all about ‘your’ team via thutyler@fisherradio.com.

About Tom Glasgow
KOMO Newsradio Sports Director
At KOMO since 2002
My most memorable sports-related moment was in 1979 and I was perched in a tree in downtown Seattle. Why was I in a tree? I climbed it to get a glimpse of the Sonics NBA Championship parade.
I have been part of so many special moments in Seattle sports history. And I’ve had a front-row seat as Mariners pre and post-game host and as a freelance sportscaster for ‘ROOT’ Sports coverage of Pac-12 football and basketball games.
Another special moment I had was covering the Seahawks vs. Raiders AFC Title game at L.A. Coliseum in 1985. That’s where I got to ride the elevator with Johnny Carson!
I enjoy filling-in on Newsline for John Carlson and Ken Schram. And I love spontaneous, unscripted moments on the air!
First job: Dishwasher. First car: ’68 Chevy Impala wagon. With a CB radio.

About Corwin Haeck
News Reporter: Morning drive/midday
I've been with KOMO/Fisher since 2004 and from 2002 through 2004 I helped launch KOMO’s all-news-traffic-weather format as the regular midday traffic reporter with Metro Traffic.
There’s nothing more electrifying than dashing to a breaking news story. It is a great privilege to get the facts, then immediately relay them ’live’ to listeners. I most enjoy working with sound. Some of my favorite stories involve musicians and other creative artists.
I admire Orson Welles, who combined a love of theater with outstanding radio work. I studied acting in college, and in the 1990s, I helped found a small Seattle theater company. Like many in radio, I’m also a voice-over actor. My ambition is to narrate a Ken Burns documentary.
I love old monster movies. I mean really old. Set me up with a stack of Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi movies, and I’m happy for the rest of the day

The thing I like most about working at KOMO Newsradio is I never know what each day will bring. I meet amazing people as I’m out covering the news!
I love my job but love being a mom most of all to my three kids.
Something most people don't know about me is that I was Miss Auburn 1989 and the scholarship paid for my first two years of college!

About Jon Repp
Reporter
I've been with KOMO Newsradio since 2002.
I love the news business, especially the chance to witness news as it develops and then pass it along to listeners.
I’ve witnessed hurricanes, wildfires, a presidential inauguration and an execution. I’ve won several regional Murrow awards, including “Best Use of Sound” in 2009. I love backpacking, camping and sports of all kinds.
My first car was a 1973 Saab. It was so rusty that puddles would splash in through the floor.
