I've been with KOMO/Fisher since 2004 and from 2002 through 2004 I helped launch KOMO’s all-news-traffic-weather format as the regular midday traffic reporter with Metro Traffic.

There’s nothing more electrifying than dashing to a breaking news story. It is a great privilege to get the facts, then immediately relay them ’live’ to listeners. I most enjoy working with sound. Some of my favorite stories involve musicians and other creative artists.

I admire Orson Welles, who combined a love of theater with outstanding radio work. I studied acting in college, and in the 1990s, I helped found a small Seattle theater company. Like many in radio, I’m also a voice-over actor. My ambition is to narrate a Ken Burns documentary.

I love old monster movies. I mean really old. Set me up with a stack of Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi movies, and I’m happy for the rest of the day
