“It’s so good to be home.”

That’s what you hear Brian say over and over throughout the hallways of KOMO. After stepping away from the radio microphone, Brian Calvert is back doing what he loves. You can hear him weekdays from 9 a.m. until noon anchoring the news on KOMO Newsradio LISTEN LIVE. He’s also back in his favorite role: Storyteller. Brian is a national Edward R. Murrow award winner, and really enjoys telling stories you won’t hear anywhere else. And we keep him pretty busy…Brian can also be seen on KOMO 4 News from time to time.

Brian has been a part of radio and television in the Pacific Northwest for well over two decades. His career began in the late 1980s in southern Oregon where he first learned radio at KAJO. From there, he went on to the anchor the news for KXL in Portland in the 1990s. In the summer of 2002, Brian was lured from KIRO radio to help launch the all-news KOMO Newsradio. He was here from day one, and after stepping away briefly to develop his own Internet shows and to work as a weathercaster at Northwest Cable News, he’s back!

And, if you’re on Facebook or Twitter, be sure to follow Brian’s streams!
