Eat & Drink
A year ago today, the world watched as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed Prince George into the world. Today, on his first birthday, Whole Foods is also welcoming him - with his own cheese.
Yes, you heard that right. The day the prince was born, a cheese was made in Somerset, England in celebration. Now, after being aged for 12 months, it is ready to be served as a Royal Cheese.
"I thought the whole prince thing was kind of goofy," said Whole Foods Specialty Team Leader Scott Niec. "But it's actually quite good. It's not overly sharp, but it's still kind of robust with a creamy, nutty flavor."
The Westminster Royal Addition One-Year-Old Cheddar was made by the Barber family on their Somerset farm, and is available at Whole Foods at $9.99 a pound for a limited time.
Tonight, take your dinner to the next [royal] level.
