May is looking to be a crazy month for restaurant and bar openings! In fact, we cut our initial list down to the openings happening only in early May - so as not to bombard you with a laundry list! More mid/late May openings coming at you next week.
Babirusa. Opening in early May, Babirusa comes from the owners of Blind Pig Bistro and will be an ‘unfussy restaurant and cocktail spot’, according to Eater Seattle.
Burger Boss. Burger Boss is coming to West Seattle any day now! The new South Delridge joint is opening in the previously Circle K location, West Seattle Blog tells us.
Chippy’s Fish and Drink. Eater reports Ethan Stowell is expanding throughout Ballard even further with Chippy’s Fish and Drink (in the old Dutch Bike Co.) right next to Staple and Fancy. No exact date on when it will be open…but sometime in May!
Elysian Bar. Seattle-based Elysian Brewery is opening up another bar in downtown Seattle, adding to its Capitol Hill, Pioneer Square and Tangletown pubs. Eater tells us the new casual bar in the old Noc Noc space opens on May 1.
Tavern Hill. Happy day for Eastside beer drinkers! The Washington Beer Blog reports that Tavern Hall is opening at Bellevue Square (in the old Munch Bar). Even though it’s not opening until summer, we think the TWENTY beers they’ll have on tap will be worth the wait.
Fat’s Wings and Waffles. If you can get over eating at a place called Fat’s, this new Rainier Beach spot opening in early May (thanks Eater!) will have fried chicken, waffles and corn dogs.
Greenbridge Café. Another new West Seattle opening! Greenbridge Café opened earlier in the week on the corner of 8th SW and SW 99th. Right now it’s open for breakfast and lunch, reports the West Seattle Blog.
