OPENINGS

Patxi’s Pizza. We told you about this Ballard pizza joint a couple weeks ago, but we now have an official opening date! Patxi’s is open for business starting tomorrow on Ballard Avenue N.W.

Piroshky Piroshky. No more long lines at this gem in the Market! Piroshky Piroshky is opening in Northgate Mall on August 10. To celebrate they’ll be handing out mini-piroshkies from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. that day.

Monsoon. Ok, so the Capitol Hill restaurant has been open since 1999 – but the 800 square-foot expansion just opened last week. This brings another 40 seats, and will be considered Monsoon’s 21+ bar area.

Wingstop. Former Seattle Seahawk Sidney Rice is trying his hand at restaurants – and opening a Wingstop at Kent Station scheduled for October 2014 says the Kent Reporter. Rice just announced his retirement as a receiver from the Seahawks and plans to focus on his ownership of five Wingstops in the Puget Sound area.

Yuzu by Musashi. Capitol Hill Seattle reports that Jun Park (of Musashi’s in Factoria) and Sam Park (of Tig Asian Tapas Bar on 1st Ave.) will be opening a new place around the 10th Ave and E. Union area, and will aim to bring higher end sushi to the Capitol Hill neighborhood at lower prices.

Lucia Greenlake. Lucia's quietly opened this week, according to the Seattle Greenlaker. Open for dinner from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Lucia's serves anything from pizza to braised beef cannelloni.

CLOSINGS

Hurricane Café. The Stranger reports that The Hurricane Café with be closing on New Year’s Day 2015. The South Lake Union property is going to – you guessed it – Amazon.
