These days, everyone's busy juggling work, after-work happy hours, more happy hours with friends, and of course family. The last thing most of us have time for is also trying to stay on top of the latest fashion trends. If you're like me, you manage your life with your smartphone, using dozens of apps to keep track of all that work and all those happy hours. Luckily, your smartphone can also be your best friend - and personal shopper - when it comes to staying on top of fashion trends, too. These four fashion apps can inspire you with the latest fashions, helping you to not only stay on trend, but maybe even set that trend in Seattle.
With the mainstream adoption of social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, fashion bloggers now just don't know the trend…they set them. There's really no better way to stay on top of the latest fashions than to keep up with these fashionistas - but who has time for that? Enter Pose, an app for iOS and Android that offers a variety of ways to inspire you based on looks posted by notable fashion bloggers. Tired of the wearing the same jeans, boots and scarves while its 45 and raining in Seattle? Pull up Pose and get inspired with a new look that's appropriate for the weather today, right here in Seattle. You can even choose from a dressed up look or one that's more dressed down, allowing you to choose a look that's appropriate for wherever you work or whatever you're doing. To discover even more trends, sign up for the app and browse looks from celebs, stylists, bloggers from LA and NYC and even styles for Men.
Ever wonder where your favorite trend setting fashionistas on social media got their look? With LIKEtoKNOW.IT (which isn't actually an app, but syncs with your Instagram account), you can browse an endless stream of trendy fashions from around the world. Want to recreate the look yourself? Simply like the picture and the app will email you links to all the products in the image. Now, instead of having to ask the fashion bloggers you follow where they bought their fabulous new statement pieces (or even worse, trying to use Google to search for it), you can shop for it right from your inbox.
Lookbook, available on iOS, is the official app of Lookbook.nu - the go-to source of fashion inspiration for trendsetters across the world. With Lookbook's app, you can find the hottest, newest, or top fashions from bloggers. Find something you like? Just sign-up or login with Facebook and click the "Hype" button. You can then look through all the looks you love in your profile. Most bloggers even include details about each item so you can shop the look from the comfort of your couch - or wherever you may be while browsing these trendy looks.
While many other apps are designed to be inspiration, Zara's app - which is available for almost every smartphone OS, including Windows - is designed to help you discover and shop trends all in one place. You can browse looks on Zara by what's "new this week", choosing from subcategories such as "woman", "Man" "Girl" or "Boy, or choose to look for trends by "Woman", "Man" "Kids" or even by seasons such as "Spring" or "Summer". If you find a look you like, simply click on "info" to share the look with friends or check in-store availability to see if you can find the fashion in a Zara store nearby. Don't get your hopes up, though - since Zara isn't slated to open in Seattle for a few more weeks, it's best used for now to inspire your next shopping trip - not be one in and of itself.
