Winter is coming to an end, and spring is right around the corner. For me, this means transitioning my fragrance wardrobe from winter to spring. Winter fragrances are warm and cozy with lingering notes of amber and vanilla in the air. Now is the time to change things up and break out some floral notes. Here are a couple scents to help you switch things up.
Balenciaga Paris Rosabotanica Eau de Parfum – $100 - Nordstrom
Not only does the Rosabotanica Eau de Parfum from Balenciaga Paris sport a gorgeous bottle that would look great on any vanity but the fragrance is a great way to ease into spring. Much like Balenciaga’s Florabotanica, rose notes are still a big part of this fragrance, but it also has warm wood notes and citrus notes to balance it out along with other floral accents. It is largely considered a floral, but one with layers and depth.
Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey Cologne - $60 – Nordstrom
Some fragrances are classics every woman should own, and I firmly hang on to the belief that Nectarine Blossom and Honey Cologne is one of them. Spraying this fragrance on your skin and breathing in for the first time is like biting into the sweetest, freshest, ripened nectarine you have ever had in your life. It sparkles with notes of nectarine, peach, plum and vetiver with a drizzle of honey. Even with all these fruity notes, the scent is not overly sweet. It is refreshing and perfect for a sunny spring day.
Chloe Roses de Chloe Eau de Toilette - $70 – Sephora
When Chloe releases a new fragrance, I immediately set out to smell it. Chloe’s line of fragrances has been a favorite of mine, and they have never steered me wrong, the new Roses de Chloe is no exception. The Damask rose is at the heart of this fragrance along with a base of white musk and amber, a Chloe house signature. The fragrance is also given some freshness with notes of bergamot and magnolia. The bottom line is that this scent is simply gorgeous and is also totally vanity worthy.
Tom Ford Private Blend 'Neroli Portofino' Eau de Parfum- $210 – Nordstrom
When it comes to fragrance, Tom Ford knows exactly what he’s doing. Each one of his fragrances is an experience waiting to happen and smelling Neroli Portofino for the first time is like lounging in the Italian Riviera for a little R & R. The core of the fragrance is definitely orange blossom but notes of bergamot, lemon, mandarin oranges, jasmine, lavender and amber also round out this fragrance.
Those are my picks for spring, how about yours? What are your favorite fragrances for spring?
