Academy Award nominated film was written by a Whidbey Islander

Happy Oscar Sunday!

Did anyone else know that the Oscar-nominated film Nebraska was written by a Whidbey Island resident? I didn't, until Seattle Met did a great Q&A with him last week.

Bob Nelson wrote the screenplay a decade ago, and it's not only up for Best Film, but for Directing and Original Screenplay as well.

Take a read, and root for Nelson and Nebraska tonight - 4:00pm on ABC.
