Nothing brings people together like glue guns and margaritas! Last week the marketing team behind Palace Ballroom took advantage of this well-known fact and hosted their first Craft Night at the Palace Ballroom.
Inspired by the wine and painting events that are popping up all over the country, Palace Ballroom has decided to utilize their beautiful space on off days by hosting seasonal crafting parties.
The inaugural class was a Cinco de Mayo piñata making class. After being welcomed into the space by smiling faces and an adorable donkey piñata, the class participants were given a custom made margarita and invited to choose a crafting table for the evening. Each table was set up with all the materials needed to recreate that adorable donkey piñata and printed instructions for reference.
There was a taco bar set up and participants were encouraged to eat, drink, chat, and craft.
The staff presented the basics of making the donkey piñata and told us to make whatever shape our little hearts desired. By the end of the night there were several donkeys, a cactus, a lime wedge, a tequila bottle, a birthday cake, and a giant “M” for Mother’s Day.
The entire staff was very helpful, walking around the tables the entire evening delivering tips and drink refills. When the evening ended, everyone was encouraged to take all the craft supplies they needed in order to finish their fringed creations.
Keep your eyes peeled for future Craft Night classes hosted at Palace Ballroom! The class cost was $60, which included all materials and unlimited food and drinks, and a gift pack of Tom Douglas products.
