We all know the neighborhoods with their distinct personalities now, but what qualifying characteristics caused their names back in the day? You'll be shocked at Alki Point's original name, and which neighborhood got its name from a lost coin toss. 

We'll give you one of the better tidbits - Beacon Hill's original name was 'Greenish-Yellow Spine.' We kid you not.
