Hopefully you have a plan for Mother's Day this Sunday...but if you don't, we're here for you. Whether mommy dearest is a fashionista, foodie, or artist; we've got something that will make her day special (other than you, of course).
Clementine Shoes. This new shop in West Seattle is a great way to ease Mom into the fashion world (if she’s not there already), bit by bit. We suggest either the Amara Sandal from Korkease ($119), or the Matt & Nat Tuojours bag in peach ($145). The shoe has a padded leather footbed for even the crankiest of feet, and the handbag is vegan.
Swink Style Bar. Swink is offering a complimentary deep conditioning and head massage when you book a blowout for your mom or yourself on Mother’s Day.
Moorea Seal. The grand opening of this new Seattle accessories store on 3rd Ave. is this Friday, conveniently two days before Mom’s Day. They specialize in handmade objects from around the U.S., but focus on the ‘adventuresome spirit’ of the Pacific Northwest.
Spa & Beauty Mom
Elaia Spa. Elaia Spa at the Hyatt at Olive 8 in downtown Seattle is offering a discounted Mother’s & Daughter’s Day package, at $160 per person (originally $190). This includes 8:30 a.m. yoga, a 60-minute treatment of your choice, lunch from Urbane restaurant, and a glass of champagne.
Glade Spring Spa. The Glade Spring Spa at Suncadia is offering up a Mother’s Day Rose Package, which consists of a 50-minute Rose and Sea Salt Body Scrub in their Vichy Showers, and then a 50 minute Rose and Neroili Massage ($260). All moms also get a complimentary gift for Tara Spa Therapy and a glass of rosé.
Yuan Spa. The Bellevue Spa is offering a couple specials for Mom this month, one of the coolest being the Mommy Dearest package: hydrotherapy, a 45-minute facial, and a 60-minute massage ($280).
Skoah. No time to book an appointment anywhere? That’s ok, Mom can get the same spa treatment in the care of her own house. Just stop by a skoah salon and pick up the pineapple and coconut scented Tub-tail Bubbly Bath ($15), or the Mom-Tail Bundle ($75).
Hourglass Cosmetics. Impress your Mom with Hourglass’ Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation (found at Sephora for $55). This liquid to powder formula absorbs oil, camouflages imperfections, and is waterproof. Perfect for busy Moms on the go who still want to look fresh!
Wild Ginger Bellevue. Take Mom to a Dim Sum brunch at Wild Ginger in Bellevue, offered 11:30 a.m. through 3 p.m. and serving up traditional Cantonese Dim Sum like hum bao, shu mai, beef dumplings and seven elements soup.
Serafina & Cicchetti. These sister restaurants in Eastlake are offering up a Mediterranean Mother’s Day brunch from 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., serving specialty cocktails and two-course prix fixe menus of Italian at Serafina ($30 per person) and Moroccan at Cicchetti ($25 per person).
ART Restaurant. Adding to your brunch choices is the waterfront ART Restaurant in the Four Seasons Hotel. They’re offering a three-course brunch with dungeness crab spring radish salad, short rib eggs benedict, and a tater tot waffle and Sriracha hollandaise.
Hot Cakes. As if delicious treats weren’t enough, Hot Cakes is pairing with Swash Letterpress + Design to host a pop-up shop celebrating mothers all weekend long by offering customizable stationary sets to order. Pre-made cards, gift-wrap, and gift tags are also for sale. And while you’re there….why not grab a Lavender & Lemon Curd milkshake?
Seattle Art Museum. While you might not be able to buy her a trip to Spain this year (maybe next?), get her the next best thing – a visit to the Miro: The Experience of Seeing exhibit at SAM! Best part? Mom’s will receive 20% off a new membership.
Pacific Northwest Ballet. Take Mom to a show! Giselle begins its run at PNB on May 30, telling the story of love, deception, and the supernatural in 1841 Paris. Tickets are on sale now and range between $33 - $179.
