If you ask Tom Douglas what you can do to help recovery efforts in Snohomish County, his response is simple: don’t be a part of the problem, be a part of the solution.

Last night, the celebrity chef hosted ‘Oso Needs Cash’ with some of the biggest names in food and wine from around the state.

The two-hour wine tasting fundraiser brought in $40,000 for the United Way Disaster Recovery Fund. The idea was the brainchild of winemaker Charles Smith who partnered with Douglas, Ethan Stowell Restaurants, Huxley Wallace Collective and a host of Washington winemakers.
